I preferred Oldsmobiles but since they're no longer made what comes close.
I once had an Altima, as a rental. My only regret was I had to turn it in.
Is an Altima equal to or better than an Olds, What do you think? All opinions welcome.
Or should I get a Ford.

Go with the Altima 2.5 S with convenience plus package for under $20,000. If you want leather and a Bose stereo try the 2.5 SL for under $25,000 its a steal. The Altima also has 4.9% financing for 60 months. Also, this is the first year for the Altima redesign and it is awsome. The interior is fantastic and the exterior has G35 styleing. You will be happy with the Altima.

My choice would be the Nissan Altima over the american product anyday! As far as reliability and comfort, you get a lot more bang for your buck. I have an altima myself and i am very happy with it. It gets up to 30mpg in the highway and has a 20 gallon fuel tank. Your engine in the Altima doesnt have a tune-up due until 105k miles where as y ou have to do the regular 30k, 60k, 90k tune ups on the american product which can be costly. You also have a timing chain in the Altima that last the life of your engine and i've seen Nissans go well over 300k miles. The new 07 Altima also comes with a CVT transmission which you never feel any shifting or any shiftshock whatsoever so the ride is extremely smooth. You can also fit a laptop in the glove box. Of course my preference would be the Altima, but the BEST thing you can do is to go to your local Nissan Dealer and test Drive the new Altima and see for yourself. I gurantee it'll be worth the time. Your 4cyl engine comes with 170hp and your 6cyl gives you a whopping 270Hp and starts at only 24k. Comes standard with side airbags and everything too! The design is very sleek and the engine is virtuallly bulletproof. Wards auto has rated the nissans engine top 10 best Engines for 13 years in a row, the only engine to accomplish that. I hope this helps in making your decision. Let me know what you think after you've drove the Altima. Happy Hunting!

Fix Or Repair Daily.

Dont get a ford.

Go with a camry, or an altima (3.5). Though the nissan is more expensive to fix, toyota is a little easier on your wallet.

Personally? I wouldnt buy any new vehicle from nissan. Not even the famed G35. Toyota would be where my money is.

I run an older 3rd gen 1993 nissan maxima. Awesome and simple to do all the repairs myself. Swapping in Newer toyota parts as I plan the modifications.

Accord is also a great buy. If you want power, make sure to get the V6 version of the accord. Don't go domestic.

Altimas are great, although, be prepared to shell out the money for repairs since they're not exactly "cheap."

On another note, since you've been spoiled by Oldsmobile, the better choice would be the new Buick Lucerne or the Cadillac CTS v6. I would definitely look at the V6 Accord before springing for an Altima.

I actually just bought the 07 Nissan Altima 2.5S and love it! The ride is so smooth and handles great. There is a ton of room, lots of storage space and the gas mileage is great. I have not one complaint!

well you can always get a buick, its pretty similiar to oldsmobile. i think you would be happy with an altima, its a gr8 car reliable, gets gr8 gas mileage and it has a good resale value. if you got a ford or somethin yea the resale value is gonna suck.
