Last time I checked, Arabs weren't white.....
So, yes, I would still be a Christian. I serve a Middle-Eastern Savior.
***edit*** for all of those who saw what I wrote earlier ("no, I wouldn't"), i misread the question. I meant to say, "no, I wouldn't 'change saviors'" Sorry about that!

Jesus was, of course, semitic and therefore probably not light skinned, but olive complected or perhaps light brown.
But I have and important question for you: would you abandon Christianity if you found out that saying some prayer at an altar would not save you? Praying "the sinner's prayer" doesn't necessarily make you a Christian. Neither does merely believing that He is the Son of God, nor yet believing that He rose from the dead. All of this is well and good, but you can say a sinner's prayer and believe the right stuff and still go to hell.
The only thing that will save you is being born again. This happens when you whole-heartedly repent of your sins - confess them all, forsake them all, and SUBMIT to Jesus as Lord and Master. If you don't do this, there is no hope for you.

What logic leads you to believe he was white? What some other cracker told you? I may not be a christian but I love black as the night is long dred locked jesus. But I digress, what would a blond haired, blue eyed JEW be doing in the middle of Palestine. There were plently of people of african descent living there at the time, but I'm pretty sure white people were still hiding in caves afraid of the sun somewhere in Europe. The original jews are black, there descendents (whose bloodline has been proven) still reside in Africa. Nowadays it blows white jew's minds to think that their religion was founded by black people. Needless to say how hard it f*cks the minds of white christians! In all probablility, jesus didn't even look arabic. He looked straight up AFRICAN. The missing years of his life he was studying Qabala and magick in egypt (hence how he could turn water into wine, walk on water, etc. Moses, being the second son, was high priest of the egyptians religion while his older brother was pharao, which is why he could turn staffs into serpents and all that) oh yeah (and moses was black too!!) So, if you have to be so ethnocentric and eurocentric to believe that all the good in our world came from white european descended people, then you probably should find a new religion, Because their are STILL white people in parts of Europe who live in houses made from feces (literally!) And the great majority of "advancements" in science and technology that americans automatically accredit to white people, have come from other cultures or were discovered by other cultures thousands of years ago. For instance, the oldest battery known to have exsisted which ran on grapejuice was found in a pyramid in egypt. Or the helicopter that was found in egypt which most closely resembles our current helicopters even than older ones. most christians would defacate themselves if on judgement day jesus showed up with a big afro to smite the wicked. Just keep thinking that jesus is white, and everything will be peachy...

Well get ready to find it honey. If you really believed the principals that Jesus taught his color wouldn't make any difference. If the color of Jesus' skin can make you change your religious beliefs then your convictions didn't mean a thing to you in the first place.
If you did believe that Jesus is a healer & savior of your soul you will know that the benefits of believing in Him are many. But if you can leave Him because of the color of His skin, you didn't really care anyway.
Jesus is no respector of persons. He created everyone and all that you see. He loves everyone. He even loves you and your faithfulness depends on the color of His skin. Isn't that something the pot telling the potter how to create. The thing that gets me is that He loves you so much that He will forgive you & your moronic statements. Once He forgives, He forgets. It's like you've never done a thing wrong. In Jesus there is total & complete forgiveness of your sins. You can't get that from another religion.
No other god can do what our God can do.You should read your Bible. Apparently you haven't read it very much to have the feelings that you have about the color of skin. God created all of the different colors & made a rainbow of His people as He saw fit.
You should re-think your position. It's good that I'm not God because I wouldn't make it so easy for you to come back in.

Hey guess what?? He wasn't. AND... since when does race make you a good or bad person? Some of the most horrible people in history have been, (GASP) WHITE!! I am more curious about why Jesus' race would matter... does that change the amazing things he did? Does that change the spiritual connection with him, considering he is not even a physical being at this point? A rapist is a rapist whatever race... A good person is a good person... regardless of race, age or sex. Oh, and my answer... I would still love Jesus if he was a tree, a monkey or as colorful as a hot air balloon... color DOESN'T determine s**t.

Jesus wasn't 'white' because a) he came from the middle east region so he was more than likely at least a little bit tan, and b) they didn't have classification by colour back then, they only cared about your wealth.
What's with these ppl saying he wasn't white bc he was Jewish. Jews can still have light skin. That's all that classification means. My question is why do Christians have such a problem with Jews when their saviour, and his entire family were Jewish? Shouldn't you be united in faith??

I wouldn't be Christian if Jesus looked like Malcom X, spoke like Martin Luther King, or fought like Muhamed Ali.
Being a Christian is man made and not biblical or God mandated.
Jesus is portrayed as white, because Constantine commissioned Michael Angelo to do so. He used images of his Aunt, Uncle and Nephew to create the image of Jesus since it had never been done and Christianity was began in Europe its only fitting to have the figure head of the religion be portrayed as white in a all white society. Just remember, the same people that modeled a religion after Jesus is the same people that falsely accused and crucified him. To place a nail in that coffen, they painted a photo of him which has deceived so many for so long. The same bible that describes Jesus even tells its followers not to portray the image of its phrophets.
There are plenty of new religions to find, I believe the Scientologist are always recruiting.

No Jesus wasn't white. He was just portrayed that way. Think about where he was born, where he lived etc. And now think about the skin color of those who are from that part of the world. Enough said
If you would find a new religion then you aren't a true believe in Christianity. Skin color and race are such trivial things. To dump your "faith" because your Messiah wasn't white? Wow.

Well, of course, I'd still be a Christian. Although I have some German religious art picturing the infant Jesus as having blond hair, pale skin, and blue eyes, it's far more likely that He was darker-skinned with brown eyes. And why would His race matter? It's what He did that matters, not how He looked.

Yes. Being a Christian you learn that Jesus told us to love everyone. So, if Jesus wasn't white, yes I would still be a Christian.
