This is a no-brainer. Go with the bmw. Sure the others are fast, but not near the bmw as far as ride/handling quality. BMW is a far superior car than the others you mentioned.

All fun cars...the Nissan and Subaru are probably built the best, the BMW probably drives the best but is the slowest, and the best looking...well, it's definitely not the Subaru. You've got no real bad choices here; the 'mature' car would be the Bimmer or the Subaru (four doors)...but test drive them all, and I bet you'll be able to decide for yourself pretty easily. Cars are personal choices, and there are plenty of good cars for sale these days.

Shelby GT500, or a Mustang GT/CS (California Special). Ford is getting ready to come out with a new Shelby GT500KR (King of the Road) model.
The prices of the Shelby's will always hold their value, especially if you have them registered with SAAC. (Shelby American Automobile Club). And have Carroll Shelby sign the dash at one of the SAAC meets. good luck
