i was talking to my gf on the phone (it's long distance relationship right now) and she asked about how this guy was doing. i don't think it would've bothered me if it was the first time, but the thing is i have had this suspicion that there was something between them before and the last time she brought him up, i brushed it off and forgot about it. but this time, it's bugging me, because it's not the first time. i did ask today though if she was close to him and she said she hung out wit him before and talked to him here and there...i didn't want to probe so i just left it like dat....should i gently inquire if there was something...or should i bite my tongue and try to ignore it again??

Relationships are hard. Long distant relationships are even harder. Communication is the key in keeping relationships together. If you can't be open in with your thoughts than it will only be a matter of time before it will end. If there is nothing going on she won't be offended by the question and will only want to prove and show you how dedicated she is to the relationship she has with you. Be careful in your choice of words because asking someones fidelity is always a touchy subject. Just make sure you are both on the same page in the relationship.

If you're really concerned or interested, I would say ask her. She should be comfortable telling you anything if she really trusts you.

But also don't make yourself sick over it and don't jump to conclusions.
