The reasons relationships get such a bad rep is that people, especially men, view it as something they have to "give up" things for. Why should either of you have to give up anything? Well, that's not true. I told my husband when we were just dating that he had to give up the porn, but it's because it was personally offending me. But earrings and make up? How is that bothersome? I don't know...I guess it would depend on WHY he asked me to give it up and where we were in our relationship. Though I personally hate to leave the house without my earrings so that'd be hard for me.

What is his reason for asking you to give these things up?
I wouldn't give up makeup...and I can't think of anything i want him to give up except some ugly pants but he has already agreed to get rid of those.
If he is asking you to give these things up for a personal belief system he holds to but you don't then you should really think about what he is asking you. It's not like you will be able to go back later (like after you marry)....you have to be willing to give those things up forever. If it was something like drugs or alcohol...something harmful...then I could understand. Asking you to change to continue seeing him...i don't think so.

No I wouldn't. I don't wear makeup or earrings for a guy, I wear them for me. If he can't accept that I like to wear them from time to time, he's not the guy for me.

Heck Ya. I hate applying make up. My face no longer breaks out so my skin is fairly flawless. It looks pretty good when I leave it without make up. Most of the time he is the one that tells me to put it on.

mmm, some reasons are these women need to cover up their ugly pimple...
when a woman put the makeup too much, I would not go out with her because everyone will think my woman is a clown... and it also turn me off
I prefer natural face...

I dont think so. I mean, if you want to change who you are, you change for yourself not for somebody else. Otherwise you yourself would not be happy. If you cant love eachother for who you are, then maybe there is a problem in the relationship.

yes I would but I d have to tell him to give up something as well. it also shows that he loves you inner beauty and how naturally beautiful you are instead of being with you for only your looks.

Nope...thats ridiculous...Unless i felt the need to change MYSELF..nobody is going to "make me" give up anything i like...Unless they prove its endangering me or my health.
