Yet how is this any different than people blaming God (or claiming that He doesn't exist) for disease and death in the world when He warned man that that's what would occur if man sinned?

There seems to be a few people who just don't understand that the question is not about Hell, it's about the consequences of sin on the natural world and a response to all the "Where is God when [insert disaster]" or "How could God let so and so get [insert disease]" questions.

Amen. It was Lucifer's charge against God, that His government was not in the angel's best interest that led many of the angels to rebellion. God must allow Satan's plans to be thoroughly worked in order to show the universe that God's government is just. We can all bring God glory by showing that we will be faithful in a wicked world, and show that it is possible to live without sinning, or transgressing God's commandments.

what you don't seem to realize is ,all these things AGAINST God come up when YOU try to convince people OF His existence

no normal adult would need to be told that and even if you DO tell him/her you don't have a RIGHT to force.

that's an ACTUAL danger.there's evidence to say that touching something that's hot would burn and STILL you don't have a RIGHT to control

that being the case, what RIGHT to you have to force people to believe when you have no evidence of this hell you talk of?

has anyone visited you after death to tell what hell OR heaven was like?

really, mostly it's when you PROVOKE that people will retaliate, because they're sick of others interfering.

i,for one have no problem with other people having any belief or faith as long as they ALSO mind their own business and leave me alone.

just as much as you don't believe in the hindu gods and goddesses, there are people who don't believe in what you believe in.

can you DISprove the existence of all the other deities? can you prove the existence of YOUR deity BETTER than the hindus (or the ancient greeks could) can of THEIR deities?

the answer to this is in my FIRST sentence.
it's because people are fed up of christians always trying to get them to believe in God that they say things like "if there really is a God,why would he allow so and so"

and really,if you think about it,if God doesn't get involved at all as you say (based on the assumption that he exists) then he's just a passive observer isn't he?

yes, people who were "miraculously " saved from disasters do claim that "God saved me" and thus the existence of God is enforced for the rest of the world as well....but what about the thousands of others who died?

e.g.in the 2004 tsunami more than 100 000 people died in sri lanka ALONE ,most of them were devout christians(it's mostly a christian population on the coast) so did God forget about them? or does he have favourites and saves only some of them?

it's not a "miracle" that proves that God exists when 100 000 people die and about 60 are saved.quite the opposite.

however, have your beliefs because you have your own reasons.but remember that other people ALSO have their own reasons for NOT believing.i'm sorry about this looong answer, but people trying to cram their beliefs down my throat is one of the few things that really annoy me.

You are right how people blame God for everything that goes wrong in their lives. Have to ask yourself, where does PERSONAL responsibility "begin." Things of "this" world are not those of HEAVEN, just as things of "heaven" are not of this world. This life is a temporary one to the faithful, and glad for that for it would be a pain having to endure it for all eternity.......

Unless the adult is "mentally retarded" your example does not exist. But, I understand your point.

God is not the author of bad things or evil. They are either created by us directly or indirectly or the devil himself.

God allows certain things to happen only because something much greater has the potential to also happen.

Otherwise, God intervenes and takes over.

The problem is that when you have an omnipotent being, you also have a being that is ultimately responsible for all things, because power IS responsibility. So the question becomes, why did he set it up that way, and why doesn't he do anything about it?

If I had you put on my dog's invisible fence shock collar and told you that there's a line somewhere in my yard that you couldn't cross would you just sit in one place so as not to get shocked? or would you want to walk around because you have the will to do so?

We have been given the choice to believe or not believe. I believe...I simply chose not to listed to some hooting and hollering group that tells people that god will punish them.

Be careful, next you will be warning them about hell, and they don't want to know about that. They want to find out on their own.
