I just had a question saying that Christians were dickweeds, and I'm not quite sure I know what that is... in a religious context, I mean (this is, after all, R&S).

All comments are appreciated!

1. Traditional Satanist - so I find myself agreeing with atheists most of the time. 2. For. 3. My religion has no opinion. 4. There is no sensible reason to be against it. I've seen plenty from religious people but none of their reasons hold water. There are plenty of reasons to be in favour - it's just basic human rights. Homosexuality is natural for a minority, not a choice as so many ignorant religious people say it is, and there is no reason why straight couples should be allowed to pass their property to each other free of inheritance tax while same-sex couples cannot - I'm thinking here of the actor Sir Nigel Hawthorne, who died and his partner then found it very difficult to keep the house because of the tax bill. I happen to be homosexual myself so that perhaps affects my judgement, but I have tried to keep that out of my reasons. Here in the UK we've had same-sex marriage (under the name of civil partnership) for nearly 4 years now and the sky hasn't fallen in. After the first few had happened and were featured on the news it's been a complete non-event - but then most of the country is non-religious and isn't bothered.

Dickweed is a specific type of botanical referenced in Genesis, when god created all the plants of the world in a specific order, known only by fundamentalists.

Dickweed is known for its spongy texture and its phallic-like blooms.
.
So he was actually saying that you reminded him of fresh flowers.

P.S. You must have special "born again" powers to see these details. Same goes for the rapture, tribulation, pro-life part, and anti-gay marriage part of the Bible

It's a cousin to the "pussywillow" tree.

From Jeremiah 19:25 :

...and so, Jesus rested his head on a warm, yet moist pussywillow and it was good. So good, in fact that he helped spawn it's cousin, which came to be known as the dickweed.

It's not literal, just like certain parts of the bible are not literal... you know, the parts that create contradiction and display historical inaccuracies. Try instead substituting the word with idiot, or moron, or imbecile.

It could be a common name for the rare tropical plant Amorphophallus, but I highly doubt it...

Just another atheist perpetrating a fraud
trying to show you hate because he's
really scared he loves Christianity

Like I always say Homophobics do the same thing
to try not to come out the closet themselves
