I love these sandwiches and I thought that I could replicate them when I got home, but unfortunately I am missing something. The sandwich is a tuna salad with hard boiled egg served between 2 slices of crustless white bread. Sounds simple, huh?

I know 2 types of Tramezzini made with tuna and egg.
I'm Italian and it's possible I'm not using 100% proper wording but I wish you can understand me.
Type # 1 - Take 2 upto 4 slices (depending on how high you prefer the sandwich) of tramezzini's bread (I prefer the one triangle shaped). Smear a little of mayonnaise on a side of the bread (on both sides of the intermediate slices if you prefer 3 or 4 slices). Put in a blender tuna (save some for after use), mayonnaise (quantity depends on yr taste) and a few capers and anchovy paste (if you like).Blend shortly, until you get a pretty solid cream.
Smear the cream on the side of the slices previously smeared with the mayonnaise. Slice the hard boiled egg (boiled for 5-6 minutes) and put 2-3 round slices on the bread smeared with tuna cream. Add also a few crumbled tuna with the egg slices. Cover with the second slice if you prefer to stop here, otherwise cover with the intermediate slice and repeat the operation .Finish by covering with the last slice.
Type # 2 - A second variant is to smear the mayonnaise on the slice and then put on just the crumbled tuna and egg slices, without blending. If you like you can add a few basil leaves.
I like both very much...mainly in summertime.
I suggest you to store the ready tramezzini into the refrigerator for a 20-30 minutes prior eating them.
Enjoy....!
