Hmmm, I see your point. Let's run with it. Since everyone is supposed to strive to be more like Jesus (who is one with God), then fathers should strive to be more like God. With God not taking an active role in everyday life, such as the prevention of accidents, mistakes in judgement, etc., then actual fathers should strive to do likewise.

Everytime your child is about to stick a fork in a light socket, you should not prevent it, as it is their 'free-will' to do so, and you shouldn't step in and alter the laws of the universe that will kill your child when he/she makes that mistake. After all, the child has to learn, right?

Is that the world you want for YOUR children? Is that the type of father YOU want? Step out of the defendants box for a second, and put yourself in the prosecutors box. How would YOU find this parent in a court of law? Is this a good parent? Is this the parent YOU want to be? Don't you think that perhaps, maybe a little parental supervision is warranted afterall.

A world where we knew that god loved us.

But an omnipotent, omnicognicent god does not need to change the laws of the universe to do this. By the Christian definition he can do anything and knows exactly what minor strings to pull to have his desired effect.

As far as I can see from this world that we live in an omnicognicent, omnipotent, all loving god is just not possible.

Well, according to fundamentalists, god altered the laws of the universe every time science proved another biblical passage impossible.

It would be an unpredictable world where there was no such thing as human knowledge or understanding. We would be no more than critters in an ant farm with slavish and worthless lives.

That's the "realization" many don't see. God "stepped" in. Our species, contrary to popular belief, is NOT a creation of the perfect God in heaven, but of the "fallen one." Mankind is "blinded" to it BY him for he is God supreme to those who EXCUSES his ways and their own as HOLY. Hurt, agony, suffering, death, are but a few of "his" REALM. Were it not for the Father in heaven intervening 5,500 years ago to give knowledge, grace and wisdom to this species, we would still be the animalistic creatures born for only one thing. To serve and be HOSTS to our creator, the DEVIL. How do I know all this to be "true?" I am a fallen one myself who by the grace of God in heaven was redeemed on earth to be one of his examples, SIMPLY by just being MYSELF...............

hmmm. .peaceful? loving? justice?

I have no problems with this.

And you don't even have to alter the laws of the universe.

Just cause child molesters and rapists to have heart attacks or something.
