If father is absent then when baby is born but if you are going through a state agency be prepared for a long wait. My case has been open for 6 yrs & still no luck. I hope you have better luck.

it took 7 months for my case to actively begin getting money from the father. 7 months from the day i turned in the paperwork to the day I started receiving money. That was without him contesting the case or anything.

coukd take any where from 5 months like my hubby ex did
or like my daughters case over 8 years and im still wating for some green
