First off, not ALL Christians are like that.. Though, I will give you the benefit of the doubt for thinking so because, of course, the ones that are vocal like that are the ones that you see, thus you believe all are like that.
I actually do agree with you on a couple things though.. The way to bring people to believe the same as you do is NOT by FORCE. There are way too many people out there that believe that they need to go pick on people and preach 'hell and damnation' and things like that. I can guarantee you that if my first experiences with Christianity had been like that, I would never have gone to church again.
I am a Christian.. My beliefs are MY beliefs... Yes, I am happy to share them with someone that is interested, but PUSHING my beliefs on someone is only going to make them "tune out". They won't hear what I have to say anyway.
I will admit.. I'm not quite sure of why the principal decided to have a 'homosexual day'. That sounds weird if you ask me. I have NO problem with someone being homosexual. I find it strange that they needed a special day at the school.. I wouldn't picket about it.. But I would question the reasonings. I would, however be interested in knowing if all students had to participate in the day.. Because that too would not be fair. As with the idea that no one should have religion pushed upon them at school, no one should have to be involved in something if they don't believe in supporting it either.
Now, however, I do think that if this is done .. the principal couldn't argue with a heterosexual day either.. If one group can have a special event, another can too.. and no one should complain then either, right?

I hate that a group of picketers is equated with all Christians or with Jesus' teachings in the minds of non-Christians. They are not one in the same. More than likely, those "Christians" don't follow the teachings of Jesus.
Its called hypocrisy and false religion.
By the way, I know of a group of homosexuals who went across the U.S., visiting seminaries (including one that a close friend of mine attended) and picketed at each one. Some of the seminaries actually welcomed them, fed them, spoke nicely to them and put them up in hotel rooms for the night, treating them with love.
I didn't start saying, "Why do homosexuals (ALL THE TIME) like to go and pickette and BOTHER ppl with your beliefs??"

but that same principal I can imagine would not let a Christian come in and share his/her beliefs with the children. Do you see the double standard here? You would not ask this question if this happened would you? IF a bunch of Christian students wanted their day to share their faith, you would say it is not allowed. Many high school graduates in their speeches wanted to share their faith and they were told they cannot , so why should any group get too. Christians have a right to stand up what WE believe in, just as much as those who are not can stand up for what they believe.

Go read the 1st Amendment again. Last time I checked, people are allowed to say whatever they want. Now, if the roles were reversed and Christians had their day, atheists and agnostics would be picketing in front of the school too. Granted, that's a different animal altogether because it's separation of church and state and all that jazz, but still.
NEWSFLASH: Not everyone agrees with you and just because someone has a different opinion does not make them wrong.

To many homosexuals it is their believe that they are gay. created that way by God. For what ever reason the schools of America don't find it necessary to allow an opposing view point. They hold up the "separation of church and state" card and say a Christian that dissagrees on theological grounds are not allowed to openly state their belief.
It is a catch 22 situation for Christians, however many of or lawmakers are begining to see the light. That Christian value voters have much more clout at the poles than the Gay community. This country is still a democracy and science will never prove conclusively that homosexuality is biological, (DNA Based) but it is indeed like faith, a choice, a life style.
And therefore as these Christians you complain about are just like me and my religious beliefs, we are protected under the constitution and it is our right to speak freely, and protest intollerance where ever it may loom.
Yes, I submit to you that you supporters of the Gay agenda are intollerant of our Christian view point. Our Christian forefathers founded this country on the belief that one day you could speak freely of your right to "liberty and the persuit of your happiness".
My Christian father fought a war in the 1940's to stop a people bent on global domination, he put his life on the line to stop Nazi germany. I wonder if you new that Nazi's were encouraged to seek out and kill all known homosexuals, conduct experiments on them, torture them... shal I go on?
In truth I believe the Gay community has a lot to answer for in this country. I served my country in the late 1970's and early 1980's, so that I could stand up for my rights as an American to share my beliefs openly, I and many of my comrades would have fought for this right and yours to openly practice your homosexual lifestyle as you saw fit. But when you take it to the extreme, and try to infiltrate your ideology of sexuality down to my 2nd grade children and yet you won't let my child openly pray to our God in public, because It offends you?
.....shame on you.
Who is being intollerent now? Hmmm.

I am a Christian (ALL THE TIME) and i have NEVER!! ever picketed any event or place (that is picket with 1 t and 1 e )
why would they set aside a day for homosexual students to come.... do they then have one only for the heterosexuals? do you see what the point of this is? why do homosexuals have to have special days at all? huh? I don't think i want THEM cramming THEIR beliefs down MY throat, but I havent picketed.....
maybe next we can have Jeffrey Dahmer days where all people who want to eat the flesh of other humans can 'have their day'??? or "child molester' day where pedophiles can 'have their day' too?
what is your problem? why does anyone (no matter what their sexual preference is )have to parade their sexuality for ANYONE to see? i just don't get it

first off....be careful with those BIG words....you may hurt somebody with all those typos.
Secondly...your an imbicile...you cant be older than maybe 18....learn a little something before you rant and rave on a public forum....You obviously know nothing of Christianity except maybe what your little friends tell you. We do not press our beliefs on others , and we never have.....we DO however object to homosexuality and the special treatment that this world gives them....get ur facts straight and learn to spell, then come and argue some more.
And yes, the person above me is correct....
A group of ..... (political correctness out the window)...Fags went around to churches, catholic and protestant, around my city and had small rallies outside of their buildings.....and Christians are the ones that are trying to press our beliefs on people.....This world has constantly pressed SECULAR beliefs on Christians, especially here in the United States....A christian cannot even have a cross hanging up, NOT BOTHERING ANYONE, without have a poor little atheist come along and complain and FORCE us to take it down.....be careful who you associate with force and forcing beliefs upon others....more than likely you are talking to yourself,.
YALL WANNA SEE WHAT SHE SENT ME? !

Well..it's called freedom of speech...guaranteed by our constitution, for starters!
Secondly, it's important that we stand up for what we believe, even when it's unpopular. If we don't say anything or speak up...then everyone would think we were all on the same page. Silence is consent.
To live as a homosexual is a choice...and it is a sin. Pedophiles claim they were born that way too...but if they act on their desire for children it is a sin. We are all born in sin, we are all predisposed to sin, we all do sin...but nothing makes it okay. All we can do is turn to God and seek him...ask him to help us turn from sin. He will and he does...but it's a process.
The thing we shouldn't do is try to justify sin and make it all okay. That's dangerous.

Because christians are afraid of anything that is not with them or about them. they come over here to escape prosecution then turn around and shun anyone who doesn't fear what they fear. Look back through history of all the people christians massly murdered for having ther own beliefs. Christians are self righteous, nosy and full of hypocrisy. The funniesr part is that they all will burn in their own conceived hell for the "good" lives they think they are living.

most Christians do not act this way. i am a christian and i believe that is not the way to handle situations. the bible does say to share the word with others but i do not believe that is the correct way to do it, definitely not to push or pressure someone into your believe. but saying all Christians are like this is like saying that all Muslims are terrorists. i do believe that homosexuality is wrong but i do not try to convert people or harass them in any way. my gay Friends no that i won't make fun of them or do anything to make them feel bad about being that way. but lumping all Christians in with the misguided ones i think is wrong.
