Okay, an assignment for one of my classes is an assigned debate. My Topic is the Voter Idea Requirement...I'm supposed to be Pro. What are some good arguments as to why Voter Id should be mandatory??

To make sure you don't have false duplicating votes. 1 vote per voter, it's common sense. You have to realize the Diebold machines were caught using dead peoples votes in the 2000 elections in several States. I would use that as key research if it were me.

This is the tough side of this argument since you are forcing people to do something they may or may not want to be involved in. So here goes.
1. Mandatory Voter ID is a moral responsability all adults should participate in.
2. If all adults voted the chance of voter fraud would be greatly reduced.
3. A National Holiday could be declared to encourage people to vote.
4. Jury duty is Mandatory, so should Voting which in much more important.
5. Voter I.D. should be mandatory to prevent "dead" people from participating.

This is a must. Voters requirement to show a voter ID. This keeps people who are not trusted in society in the USA., to prove they are who they say they are. This keeps illegals from voting on things that concern the citizens of the USA. Yes, their are people who have phony license. But if caught they stand to go to prison and a stiff fine. We have to have laws regarding the above. That's the law.

It keeps voter fraud down. it will keep both parties in the election honest or at least as much as possible. It will make sure felons and illegal aliens are not voting.
