They like to push their beliefs on others. :)
I actually enjoy their challenges if they are done respectfully. It strengthens my own faith to have to research answers.

I'm here waiting for the first really convincing proof of God's literal existence. Did you imagine American atheists were going to remain politely silent while the religious right undermines our laws, our school curriculum, our science, and our democratic secular government? You should also appreciate that this anonymous public forum is one of the few places in America where atheists are free to express their opinions without fear of violent retribution.

This is a discussion forum. We are here to talk and share ideas.
I disagree with you when you say that "atheists don't believe in anything else". We believe in lots and lots of things just like you do. We just don't believe in god. That's one of the misconceptions that some of us are hoping to clear up.
And, you are absolutely correct - there is to much bashing (in both directions) going on.

When God breathed life into humanity His very breath of life carried a need for belief in Him in order to have life. All humans have this God installed belief system but God gave us also the freedom of choice and unfortunately many do not choose to believe. Personally I feel great compassion and sorrow for those who are willing to follow Satan to Hades rather then follow God (Jesus Christ) to Heaven. There never has been nor ever will be any thing in this world worth spending eternity in hell over.

We should all be concerned with what is going on around us. Laws are being proposed based on these very ideas. Shouldn't you be concerned?
And not all religions or spiritualities revolve around a god.

They have as much right to be HERE as YOU do! Also they aren't the ONLY ones to point out the hypocrisy of Christianity, former Christians do it too. Don't forget the Wiccans and Pagans too, they have a right to be here. Maybe you should go.

one can be spritual and not believe in an unprovable sky fairy.
