I would be so happy I could cry! My daughter is only 20 months old, but I hope she and I will have a great relationship. It's the most important thing to me in the world, to make sure she is happy and safe and loved.

I have a daughter who is 19.
If she made breakfast, brought me flowers and a present I would be very happy, because I would know she had a job.
If she cleaned house and cooked she would still be living here instead of married at too young of age.
If she behaved nicely I would think she just had a smoke or was on antidepressants, she is pretty crabby all the time.
She would have done all the things you say when she was about 10 or 12 but now she is grown up and thinks she is in charge of her own life and I really do not have a brain.
I can't wait till she is a little older and starts to teach me a few things.

I would think that 19 year old is thinking about how to best appreciate her mom by doing the things that moms always have to do. It's sweet! However, if that same 19 year old acts differently the other 364 days of the year, then one day of niceness doesn't erase years of nastyness.

happy that she took the effort to do all of this for me
suspicious because you know she wants something and then happy again because as a mom you were finally given a moment of appreciation for everything that you have done for that child
