I am sometimes confused about what to believe, I have conflicting thoughts about things. I know that there is proof of dinosaurs and I believe that...but where is it in the Bible. I believe that the world is older then what the bible suggests....but I also believe God created it.
I also know that evolution exists, there were animals that evolved into long necked Giraffes so that they could eat the leaves that were higher up...but how did that first organism come to be?
How did that first organism evolve into dinosaurs and cats and ALL that we have today?
Why did only one animal evolve into a being like us? That can do the things that we do? Does that make sense to others?
How can there not have been a designer?
Could God have created the Dinosaur and then something happened that caused the Ice Age or whatever made then extinct...and then after time God made Man, but didn't include it in the bible because at that time He did not feel the people would understand?

I was also wondering if the Leviathan mentioned in Psalms could be talking about Dinosaurs.

Evolution exists...but that doesn't mean we all evolved from one single-celled organism. I don't believe that.

And not every single thing is in the Bible. It doesn't need to be - what is in the Bible is everything we need to know about God and His love for us. Its complete in that way. It was not written as a history of the world. Only a period of about 1500 years was covered in great detail. The rest was covered in just a few books.

I suggest that you read "Case for a Creator" by Lee Strobel I've read some of it and I think it speaks to many of the questions you have.

God bless!

The bible is not a history book. You will not find answers to your questions about dinosaurs in the bible. Also, the bible does not suggest an age of the world. Bible scholars drew their conclusions on the age of the earth based on tracing family lines and lifespans, which are mentioned in the bible.

If there was some kind of creator, it could not have been the god of the bible because this god could not possibly exist by definition alone. The fact that the bible has multiple historical inaccuracies opens the door for doubting everything else it says. If you want answers about dinosaurs, try reading what actual archaeologists have written and then draw your conclusions from their research.

The dinosaurs were on the Ark. They died off soon after the flood.
Why do you think the world is older than what the Bible suggests?
Evolution does not exist. Changes within a species (your giraffe example) is considered adaptation. Evolution is changing from one species (roach) to a completely different species (elephant).
God created the first life, and then all animals including dinosaurs, and elephants, and cats, etc.
One animal did not evolve into being like us. God created each animal and some may have adapted.

Hope this helps.

Peace.

Edit: Take a look in Job, it describes a dinosaur.

My own feeling about it is:
God exists, and created everything.
God uses evolution as a tool to further refine his constructs.
The Bible is more recent than the earth, and is a reflection of man learning to express things in language. Much of the Bible is written in poetry and metaphor. I don't consider it an accurate history book. There were people here long before Mankind developed language enough to ask questions like "Where did I come from?" Their answers to those questions are a reflection of thier times. Hope this helped you....

There is an excellent solution to your questions. If you are not already in a good bible teaching church, find one. And get into bible study. Your questions can be answered, but it takes time and effort to seek....for yourself....and find the answers that God would have you know.

P.S. Just as a note, the word "dinosaur" was not even in modern usage until the 1800's!

Not a mess of a question - look into old-world creationism, you're not alone at all.
