So, suppose you would die and meet God face to face. I know, I know, you wouldn't because God doesn't exist. Neither here nor there, though in this case... would you be surprised if "God" were a she? a He? Why?

Fred: I never said I didn't believe in God. What in the world would give you an idea like that? All of the atheists that posted above you could tell I was Christian as well... what's YOUR bag?

Frankly, I would be surprised if God looked anything like any "thing" I could imagine - male, female or otherwise.

I agree with Chippy. I would be surprised if God had a gender. I don't see what God would do with sex organs and everyone is supposedly in God's image, so it couldn't have only male or only female. I guess God could have both, but I'm going with neither.
I'll continue to call it a "he", though, for convenience, though female is the genetic default. Scratch that. I'll start calling God "she" from now on. It does make more sense, unless you try to attribute the OT to this God. No woman would ever do all that.

The first thing to surprise me would be my continued consciousness after my death. Next to surprise me might be that I still had a face. Then, shock again that God had a face, since God needs one less than my (dead) self. Then... okay if God appeared to be a woman, and showed me her reproductive organs I'd be shocked that she did so- especially because a woman's reproductive organs are on the inside, and that's tough to show off no matter how you do it.

I would be surprised because of all the dead people that there are that God would have time to meet me. It seems that the longer I waited to meet God the more people would be dieing and he/she/it would have no time for anything else other than meeting dead people.
I would not be surprised if God had a gender, though it seems pointless because who would he/she/it mate with?

I would be surprised if God had any gender at all. God, hypothetically, is not human and is not even an animal, or a plant, since plants have sexes.
Does God have sex? Does God have a penis or vagina is what you are asking? No God would have to be something utterly different, and thus not classifiable into one sex or another.
If God were to exist.

i don't think of so.. hypothetically the Lord does not be stupid sufficient to permit Mr. Hypothetical to even get at the back of the wheel of a motor vehicle in view that Mr.Hypothetical had a grudge against him and performed too lots "Grand theft motor vehicle" so he desperate to have some relaxing with the Lord. i might wager the Lord might cease the motor vehicle in the previous is struck Him in view that he's the King of the universe and has all skill and the Lord might proceed together with his unique plan on the 2d coming.... Hypothetically. i'm happy there are some people who comprehend that word.. maximum folk lack the intelligence and merely say "what If"

I would be surprised if I experienced any consciousness after death and whatever I saw but I certainly hope it wouldn't be that god in the bible. I would prefer it to be a female god if there was one, preferably Aphrodite.
There isn't anything though. I'm 100% certain of that.

Hmm..If I actually met someone I wouldn't be surprised if it was a woman.. or a man.., black or white..I would want to die again because hopefully there would be some other place that people are just hanging out and dont have to worry about their past...etc..

I would be surprised if God was a she because Jesus kept referring to God as his FATHER!
To be Honest I really have no idea what God will look like...

I'd be surprised if it had reproductive organs, or if it was obviously masculine or feminine. However I wouldn't be surprised if there was a choice sexual pronoun for God, as it would make talking to her and about him much easier.
