Foreman still wins just based on styles, but I think the Joe Frazier of 1969-1971(his peak years) makes a much better account of himself than the doughy, 214lb Frazier of the Kingston bout.

Foreman by tko in 5 but not before being rocked badly on several occasions by Joe's blistering left hooks. A great, memorable battle in which Frazier loses no prestige.

I think he would have put up more of a fight but I also think that he would have lost. Foreman was "as Ali said" like a mummy. He was as slow as a one legged tortoise BUT... he eventually forced the apponent futher and further back until they where trapped in the corner and then SMACK... he got you.

No, Joe Frazier his whole career he was a bull type of fighter, always charging the opponent. Thats what got his bell rung each time. The truth of the matter is Foreman was just too strong, big, and a physical freak. He was a flat out brawler, not a boxer. In my opinion if he could of sucked it up and finished the Ali fight, he would of won that. Forman was just a freak of nature. Frazier wasn't never the same after those ali fights but it didn't matter Foreman was arguably the hardest puncher in boxing history. Frazier had no chance.

No, Frazier style was "taylor made" for Foreman. The results would have been about the same. You would have thought Frazier past his prime would have used a different tactic because he was a " crafty vet" trying to box Foreman some?
The younger in his prime Frazier would have fought that charge ahead style with even more vigor and might have gotten ko'd quicker!

I agree with u. Frazier was so outclassed but consider the beatings he took leading into the Foreman fight. Foreman was arguably the hardest puncher ever and frazier style was suited for him. ''down goes frazier! down goes frazier!'' smoking joe would demolish the division nowadays.

I don't think Joe would have faired any better if he was wearing a football helmet against Geroge. Joe's style was made to order for Forman, and that big right hand was too much for anybody walking straight in trying to land a hook. George had Joe's number from birth, and Joe simply was over matched.

He would've lasted longer. From what I've seen of their first fight, he wasn't doing that bad, just got caught.
