Some of these answers are truly odd. She should eat a balanced and healthy diet. Fish can contain mercury so she should talk with her doctor about how much to eat. All foods should be cooked thoroughly (even deli meats, they can be easily contaminated with salmonella or e. coli) and she should limit stuff like caffeine and aspartame (as an avid Diet Pepsi drinker, that one was tough for me). She should drink lots of water and milk and try not to think about weight. She needs to gain weight for the baby to be healthy, she doesn't need to eat twice as much, but she needs to eat to satisfy her hunger, her body will tell her what she needs. As for the other weirdness, of course drugs and alcohol are out, as is smoking. (Caution! If your girlfriend is a smoker, be supportive of her even if she can only cut down but not stop smoking altogether, the stress of stopping can be almost as damaging as the smoking). As for sex, unless the doctor says no, sex is fine. If you do give her oral pleasure, just don't blow air into her vagina, breathing on her will not cause an air bubble. It is kind and wonderful of you to be thinking about her and what is needed for a healthy baby, don't forget to go through pregnancy with her (eat right, exercise and cut out drugs, alcohol and smoking too). Best wishes.

Make sure she gets those Omega 3 fatty acids!!! They greatly help in the brain and eye development of the fetus...you can go to any health food store and pick up a bottle of flax seed oil..she should take 2 spoonfuls a day
on top of that she should take her prenatal vitamins, and eat a variety of different colored fruits and veggies...green, orange, red, yellow, blue, purple...and the darker the veggie the better for her and the baby!!!
Try and stay away from the sweets and fats like cake, icecream, those hostess cupcakes that are killing me not to eat a whole box right now LOL

She should eat a well balanced diet. Remember everything she eats, baby eats. Since its really hard to eat a well balanced diet these days, make sure she takes her prenatal vitamins and not stress out too much. Your doctor will probably give you some more advice, or you could try one of those baby books, they sometimes have really good healthy recipes. Good luck!

Well, of course, she needs to see a doctor, a pediatrician or specialist as necessary, who will ask her what she eats and make suggestions.
Other than that, it is basically what is recommended everyday: 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables, etc., which you can find at mypyramid.com Avoid fats as much as possible, avoid processed foods as much as possible, avoid fast foods as much as possible; avoid smoking or being in the presence of smokers; avoid drinking; avoid drugs; avoid prsecription drugs or pain medications as much as possible.
Women usually need iron supplements, but have her ask the doctor about that.

Food. She doesn't have to stop eating normally or totally change her diet because she is pregnant. It would be a good idea for her to take some prenatal vitamins though, most doctors recommend those for pregnant women.

Fruits and veggies go without saying. When I had my first I ate healthy Choice meals for lunch rather than going out for fast food. Anything in moderation won't hurt. Definitely salads, milk, veggies, fruits, etc etc stay away from fried foods!

Hmmmm, healthy foods. Lots of water esp since she's pregnant in the summer months. Veggies, fruits, lean meats cooked all the way through. No smoking, drinking or drug use.

actually the doctor is supposed to give her a "pregnancy pill" that has all of the recommended vitamins a woman needs who is going through a pregnancy.
I would suggest she eat healthy foods, avoid fatty foods because you dont want ur girl blowing up like 200lbs for the pregnancy
