ha Thats awesome, I wish I could do that. And Im assuming you would need more than a doctors note. I don't think they'd buy it untill you got an excuse note from the president, you have a very demanding job ; )

No doctors note, I think every stay at home mom needs a call in sick day every once in a while. Good JOB

Wow! You get to call in sick?! My husband doesn't seem to believe that a Mom can get sick. When he's sick, he lounges around watching TV all day. When I'm sick, it's business as usual. I could be throwing up and he'd still announce to me that the kids are hungry, or they need to get ready for bed, or someone has a poopy diaper, or did I call so-and-so and ask them such-and-such. The list goes on. Dr. Mom says you're excused.

No, what you need is to be laid out on the floor so that someone (your husband) will actually take you seriously and realize that you need some time to yourself. Especially if it means passing the germs on to the kids.

Contrary to popular belief, we don't get days off. If we're sick oh well, we just have to suck it up.

Isn't life grand??? =)

I wouldn't think so since you seem to be self employed although I would like to know how you go about the calling in sick process, cuz I wanna do it too!!!! :)
Hope your sick day was relaxing and fun!

Sorry, babe, but stay at home mom's don't really get days off. Hopefully you can find someone to take your kid(s) for the day (parents, grandparents, babysitter, friend), but if not, just throw in a few movies for the kid(s) to watch and take it easy.

yes. And in the future you are going to need to give two weeks notice if you are going to be sick.

For school? for work? both would have a policy. I think missing one day would not justify a dr note

Depends if they need one for calling out one day.

???? This doesn't make sense -- you admit you are a 'stay at home' -- so what is this about?
