Have you ever come to personally know your Shepherd?

in John 10 the Bible it says "The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep." would your God sacrifice his life for you?
this is said and goes on to quote Jesus= verse 10 and following

Jesus the Messiah says "My sheep hear my voice and follow me." "I have come that you might have life and more abundantly."

first answerer-you cant say that now-you read this question-and in life we are like sheep-and many follow the wrong shepherds-to damnation-as Daniel the Jewish prophet tells-to abhorance forever or to everlasting life-Daniel 12:2

What does "The Lord is my Shepherd" mean to you??? It means God personally cares and this is one way he relatest that care to each of us

Good question: I think some misunderstand about sheep...
They are not easily lead, God didn't make dumb animals...sheep can be ferocious when their lambs are threatened..
The good Shepherd, listens for His children's voice..attentive to their cry..meets their every need..checks them every night to make sure their safe..
David before he became King, rescued his sheep from the mouth of the bear and the lion...sheep are very important to God~~Shalom~~

What ever be ,it is your belief which can't counter it.Philosophically it has been defined as such :BELIEF is a mental attitude of acceptance or assent toward a proposition without the full intellectual knowledge required to guarantee its truth. Believing is either an intellectual judgment or a special sort of feeling with overtones that differ from those of disbelief. Beliefs have been distinguished according to the degree of certainty: a surmise or a suspicion, an opinion or a conviction.Belief becomes knowledge only when the truth of a proposition becomes evident to the believer. Belief in someone or something is basically different from that a proposition is true. From above it induce the practical art of right reasoning.

I believe the bible also said his name would Emanuel (or something else with an E). Many historians agree that the account of early life of Christ came into existence years after his death and first adult account (more than the 40 years it took for his first account to appear). They also speculate that it was probable the church adopted from those texts to appease the story and keep it chronologically and prophetically sound, and it shows that they tried because they couldn't back out of the name Jesus since it had been out in previous texts while everything just conveniently came into place.

"The Lord is my Shepherd", from the 23rd Psalm, means to me that the Lord Jesus Christ is my shepherd. A shepherd looks out for his flock, tends to their needs, and brings them back when they stray away. This is what Jesus does for all who choose to follow him. The term shepherd is just a descriptive word that demonstrates what Jesus's actions are for Christians.

Yes, I have a personal relationship with Jesus. We communicate daily. Of course, I tend to do most of the talking/whinin/complaining. But, once I shut up and listen, He gives me the answers that I seek. Us sheep (used only for demonstrative purposes) hear his voice as I just described and follow His instruction. I think you are seeing the terms "shepherd" and "sheep" in a negative way. In the time when Jesus walked the earth in a physical body, the terms shepherd and sheep were terms the people of that time could relate to. You ask "would your God sacrifice His life for me?" --he already did -- on the cross at Calvary.

Obviously, I am not an atheist, Jew, Muslim, Hindi, or Buddhist. I am a Christian who was raised in a protestant home, but do not attend church. That's why I have a personal relationship with Him.

I don't need a shepherd since I'm not a mindless sheep waiting to be fleeced by some con man pedophile preacher.

Remember, the ultimate goal of the shepherd is to chop up the sheep and eat them.

Are you aware that life is not just one big Sunday School?
===================
"WOW called names for believing God?
Jesus said when others persecute you for believing me jump for joy for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you. Luke"

Just a little grandiose, aren't you?

And we were once on your side, but we grew out of it. Your little "I used to not believe" story is neither convincing nor believable.

I thought you might like to sniff your own crap. . .

everyone judges-yet Jesus teaches if your guilty of something dont try to correct others having the same problem, and about judgement it is about needs of others, but not about heaven and hell -Jesus decides that.

Do you buy the first pieces of fruit u see or do u judge for the best quality? do you buy one if its rotten?

this is what helped me to make better judgements of myself
="Professing themselves to be wise they became fools." the bible

isnt this PROOF -EVERYTHING CAME FROM NOTHING WITH AGE-SO IT HAD A CREATOR AND DIDNT EXIST ONE MINUTE BEFORE CREATED

IT DIDNT HAVE A FAIRY BUT BECAME A LIVE WITH A PERFECT DNA-TO REPRODUCE ITSELF PERFECTLY BY ACCIDENT.

had a billion accidents and turned into a human-what more proof to u need than that LOL but i pray for them and Muslims too to come to Jesus=and I share the truth not just a question=The life records prove Jesus came and died-I doubt there is execution records on file-yet it is possible yet take it a step further-Isaiah did more than mention the death of Jesus the Messiah-He recorded it

Isaiah 52:13-53:12, and also said Jesus would be God almighty- Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us will be born a child, a Son is given, and he will be almighty God and the prince of peace."

of course some will say that the Jewish people who reject Jesus put this into their Jewish Hebrew Scriptures so it is not true-why would those that reject Jesus put this in and then leave it there still today? be real

what is the advantage of being a member of a group apposed to the Bible and Creation with many many Creation scientists all back to the masters too such who believed the bible and stood against athiesm that said the world was flat which proved the bible was wrong-because the bible says He made the eartht a sphere." listen to Jesus according to his own religion=

well Jesus said "My sheep hear my voice and follow me." John 10

the problem is we have to do what the good shepherd Messiah Jesus says "I love you repent quickly from your sin (even one lie), Behold I knock on your heart door if you hear my voice and opent he door, I will come in and begin a fellowship with you and you with me, if you repent and ask me in." Revelation 1:1, 3;19&20 and chapters 19-22 about the joy of heaven in salvation, and the agony of hell weeping forever for those that refuse the voice of Messiah Jesus.

As a Jew-I come to messiah from the prophecies Isaiah 52:13-53:12 as I gave this man but he refused to listen- "He will lay down his life as a lamb and make atonement for our sins." will we listen?
LET JESUS HELP YOU, REPENT OF YOUR SINS AND BE NOT ONE OF THOSE SPOKEN OF -IN THE LAST DAYS MANY WILL SPEAK EVIL OF THEIR RULERS AND CALL GOOD BAD AND BAD GOOD.
why not make good music like Amazing grace sung of the one Messiah Jesus thanks

that is how you become true to God in life and death to heaven from, David

Yeah, lets hear it for Hay Zeus, the Sheep Whisperer!

Sheep always get led to slaughter or fleeced right.

God is imaginary.

It means that the Church wants it's followers to act like sheep.

Do not think, just follow.

Remember, the shepherd regularly shears his flock.
