My mom is taking a trip to NYC with a friend in July. I want to get her a Mother's Day gift that she can use in or take to NYC. Any ideas? Thanks!

If she doesn't have one and your budget can afford it, get her a good digital camera ... check out the Canon's at http://www.imaging-resource.com/ . You can get one for under $200 that will serve her very well.
If that is out of your budget, consider a "care kit" ... my kids and I did this years ago for my parents who were going on vacation. Get a small backpack, fill it with things like tylenol, lifesavers, gum, fingernail clippers, a map of the city, and anything else you can think of that might come in handy. (If she is flying, make sure you don't put in anything she can't take on the plane!).

you should get her a digital camera. NYC is fill with intertesting sights and scene, im sure she'll love your gift. check out kodak.com. i have the kodak easyshare V530, it is so easy to use, just point and shoot. i love mine. the prices are around $250

go to www.goldstarevents.com and look for NYC.
There are all kinds of things she can do in NY including dinners, cruises around manhattan, comedy shows, theater, etc. all of which are deeply discounted.
