i wouldn't buy bikes online becausei am a "try it B4 you buy it" person. but if you have ridden one before, and it is comfortable to you, BUY IT!!! if not, try looking for a bike at WAL-Mart (pre assembled if you aren't good at bulding things. the floor models are usually slightly lesser quality but cost alot less. I personally don't like the bike you chose. but who cares, im not here to tell you which bike you HAVE to buy.
GOOD LUCK ON FINDING/BUYING YOUR BIKE!!!!!!!!!!
OH YEAH!!!!!!! ALMOST 4GOT!!!!!!! and i would buy a NEXT Power Climber.

First of all DON'T buy a bike in Chicago. Your 9% sales tax is a killer. I'm sure the Cadillac bike is mainly a some cheapo Magna with 50c worth of stickers. You really want the bike fitted. Perhaps MI City? I just got an entry level Giant and swapped out the tires for a commuter bike. My road bikes are Cannondales. Get someone to take the time with you and get a decent bike that is comfortable to you. Maybe you'll ride more than 30 miles a year. Chicago is a fantastic place for biking.

If you get a good bike, you will probably ride it a lot more. That thing is hideous and probably weighs 30-35 pounds. Try a real bike shop and get a Trek or Specialized comfort bike. They are close to the same price. Forget about suspension if you are just riding around town. A poor quality suspension will just bottom out on every bump and be worse than none at all. Even a Wal-mart Schwinn is probably better than the "Cadillac".

If I was spending that amount I would look at an older bike, perhaps on E-Bay, slam in my price and eventually I would get a decent bike - get someone who knows both you and bikes to help you - don't go to a shop - they are in BUSINESS and will eventually sell you something that THEY wanty not what YOU need, knowing full well that you will probably never ride the pile of shiny new crap they have sold you - older bikes can be picked up very reasonably; everywhere......good luck

Personally, I would forget about buying a bike on Amazon or at any big box store. The bikes are of inferior quality and they are assembled by unskilled workers or by yourself. You will spend more to have the bike adjusted or rebuilt at a bike shop than you would save by buying one. The "cadillac" bikes are probably just Huffy or Columbia bikes with a different sticker on them
I would go to a bike shop and look at their lower end mountain bikes. The Trek 820 for example sells for about $269. You will get a better bike and better service.

length and setting up is quite important in street cycling. you somewhat could pass to an area save and characteristic an knowledgeable eye show you how to. thus far as motorcycle, the critiques will variety very much because of the fact cyclists are generally very bran dependable. i like Trek / Gary Fisher - so i visit constantly have been given hat path. i do in comparison to wonderful (for no genuine reason different then determination), so i visit push far off from them. you may desire to look at what motorcycle strike your eye. Which motorcycles experience the coolest for you. What sort of cost is being supplied and such. in basic terms like determining to purchase a automobile. *keep in mind, 2010 motorcycles are popping out. make effective it is seen because of the fact 2009 fashions could commence coming down.

I think you should go to your local bike shope. Tell them what you want and what you have to spend. They will fit you and ensure you get the best bike for your build and use.
It's very difficult to get even a simple cruiser of good quality for under $300. Giant sells cruisers that MSRP starting at $300. Giant is a good reputable brand. The most important thing is to get a bike that fits you!!!
Good luck!

If I had $150 to spend, I would save up another $500 and get a real bike. Cadillac DOES NOT make bikes. Those are rebadged Huffys.
Do yourself a favor and go to a real bicycle shop. 30 miles each summer? You can do that by riding one block per day, and you can walk that far! 30 miles isn't squat.
