We recently moved to Sonoma County. While we were looking for houses up in Healdsburg we got lost but found Rodney Strong and J right next to each other. I love Rodney Strong's wine but I REALLY love J sparking wine. So, we took a turn and went inside. They were having a wine pairing that day and I hadn't eaten so I was set. It was a fantastic education on food and wine.
But my absolute favorite winery and tour is Sebastiani. They do a fantastic tour and educate the tourist on how they make their wine. My second favorite is Robert Mondavi in Napa. Good tour, great wine.
Have fun!

There is a lovely place in south jersey called The Renault Winery. They serve you a great lunch using their wine and they give you samples of their wine while you dine. You get a tour and it is a lot of fun. Also, there is a beautiful hotel on their property so that you can make it a real vacation trip. Hope that helps.

Mumms! It's just up the road from me. I love their sparkling wine. And the food is great, the visitor's center is gorgeous, the views are great looking out over the valley to the west, and they have an awesome Ansel Adams photography exhibit.
(And speak of the devil, I'm a member of the wine club and I'm getting 2 bottles in today!)

silverado vineyards and luna vineyards in Napa, California. they make some of the best Sangiovese, Sauv Blanc and Pinot Grigio. Very consistent year to year.
For sparkling Schramsberg. They are the best domestic producer of sparkling wine.
Also, they are clients of mine and i get big discounts through their purchasing people.
