According to the Department of Labor Statistics own records, we add nearly 2 million citizens to the workforce each year from high schools and colleges.
According to their charts, (private sector, age 16 and up, not seasonally adjusted) we added nearly 18 million new jobs from 1992 until 2000... since 2000 we lost nearly 4 million, then added about 7 million back by the end of 2006 for a NET of about 3 million new jobs in 6 years.
During this same period from 2000 to the present they estimate that we have added 3 million illegal invaders per year, which would indicate that about 28 million people are without jobs THAT ARE BEING COUNTED.
How can we possibly have 4% unemployment?

We were pretty close to full employment by the end of the dot-com boom. If we netted 3 million new jobs, and 6 million new legal workers, that would increase the ranks of the unemployed by 3 million. In order for that to consititute only 4% of the workforce, the workforce would have to be 75 million strong. Not too implausible in a country of 300 million.
There are a lot of jobs held by illegals, and, presumably, some illegals who hold no employment at all - they, however, work mostly 'under the radar,' so probably aren't being counted.
Another factor you're probably not considering is 'discouraged workers' - people who are no longer part of the 4% unemployed, because they've given up on trying to find work.

4% = unemployed over workforce
You have not addressed the size of the workforce adequately. You don't mention how many we lose from the workforce each year due to retirement or what ever else.
Also, we only count you as unemployed if you are looking for a job.
So we also do not count illegals in the unemployment number (unless they are receiving benefits and then they've beaten the system).
It doesn't matter how many jobs are available for the unemployment number. We always have more jobs than people, just maybe not the right jobs at the right time.

Everyone is aware that unemployment is underreported and the Bureau of Labor Statistics makes no claim that they are counting every unemployed person in the country. In fact, despite people graduating and new people immigrating, the civilian work force has stayed roughly the same size over the past year, because they do not count "discouraged workers" or people who have not looked for work in the last 4 weeks. Read the whole document below to learn what the 4.5% figure really means.

Everyone knows that all unemployment figures in every country are tweaked to suit the current news item/issue/government regime.
to MH Citizen: all white Americans in the States are illegal invaders. Blacks don't count because they were sold into slavery, ie. didn't choose to move there. No need to continue with this point outlining every ethnic group coz you should get my point.
Your so-called 'invaders' are being exploited by unscrupulous employers who bank on the fact that they have no rights.

it's not accurate because they don't count those that don't file for unemployment. Most low class to lower middle class incomes come from jobs where they laugh if you try to get unemployment.
There are also those laid off that try to get unemployment but don't because their bosses lie and claim they were fired or make up excuses. That usually happens to people who were laid off because their jobs were outsourced.
So that percentage is a lie and it should not say 4% are unemployed but rather 4% recieved unemployment benefits.

Well, figures lie and liars figure. I would say look around you. How many American Citizens are unemployed? How many students are getting jobs? This country is catering to illegal immigrants and those who hire, harbor and help them. Until we stand up and be counted for law enforcement the illegal immigrant influx will continue and the country will soon be taken over.

Ok see that is the problem...
Say we lose (to keep it simple) 100 jobs that pay $100,000 a year.
We gain 200 jobs that pay $5.50.
They look at that as a gain of 100 jobs...doesn't matter that they do not pay what the jobs we lost did....
Also, as stated above...the unemployment figures do not include those that have given up on looking for a job and those that no longer receive unemployment.
