Quote from the Indiana Dept. of Financial Institutions --

At the same time, the law usually doesn’t allow your creditor or lessor to commit a breach of the peace in connection with repossession. In some states, removing your car from a closed garage without your permission may constitute a breach of the peace.

Creditors or lessors who breach the peace in seizing your car may be required to compensate you if they harm you or your property.

They are not allowed to enter a locked garage. However, if they do not get the vehicle they will contact the local law authority and they will come to your residence. At that time if you do not hand over the car you will be arrested. So if you are going to pay up then it is best to do it ASAP.

If your lender has not called off the repo people? There is nothing you can do. If they show up and you call the police, they will simply review the paperwork and if it's in order you will have to surrender the vehicle.
