Josh it's never your problem until it affects you directly. What about the American citizens who's identities are stolen so these people can work? What about the American citizens who can get jobs because illegals in the same field will do it for less than half of the American wage? What about the families of people who are killed by illegals that were not deported the first time they were caught driving under the influence?

LMAo I guess you are indirectly calling me racist? I am half black and half white. I am the last one who has any nerve being racist. I remember before blacks and whites dating was the up and coming thing, I was the only one in my hometown. So I know what it's like to be different, and I damn sure am not racist.

Favii first off pick up a dictionary because your use of the english language is horrible. Secondly, if you are saying that it's okay for them to come here illegally because they don't feel like waiting to do it the legal way, I guess it would be okay for me to drive through your neighborhood drunk while your kids are outside playing becase I want to get something to eat, but don't feel like waiting until I sober up. I mean that makes just about as much sense as what you said.

Panta when the pilgrims came, as well as the immigrants who came over on boats and helped found this country came over, they were welcomed. There were no border laws. Also, there was a center at Ellis Island where they came and registered. So get your facts straight. There are border LAWS now. Get it Laws. Which means if you don't follow it, you are breaking the law. There were no such laws back then, so they weren't criminals as far as immigration went. try again.

Also about the taking the Mexican Territory by force, hey war was the way to conquer land. They lost the war. Which means they lost their land. That's how it went. That's like when the gold rush happened, if you had land and someone wanted it you had to fight for it or lose it. Casualties of War buddy. I mean it would have been the same if the Revolutionaries would have lost to the british. We would be speaking the Kings English right now. So, Mexico having a weak army really has nothing to do with the issue at hand. Times are different now.

Zahir great point. But in the same sense, simply over looking the others basically sends the idea that it's ok to continue to flood over here as long as you just lay low. I feel we need to first secure the border. Then work on getting law enforcement officials the authority to deport any undocumented people that are discovered in this country. I mean if they just feel they can walk over to this country, and the president is basically letting them know that it's okay by not doing anything, and granting some sort of amnesty, it kinda defeats the purpose of border laws don't you think?

JK if they were legalized, then my side will have lost. Point blank, no argument about it. I mean seriously, why have laws if people don't have to follow them, and we aren't going to enforce them? If you sneak into Mexico, lethal force will be used against you, and you will be detained. However, illegals want to come over to this side of the border, and call that same type of action inhumane.

B. Kirvor, that is not true. There are many unemployed americans due to the fact that the average pay rate has substantially fallen due to the increased hire of foriegn workers who do the same jobs for less than half the pay rate of an American.

I'm going to reply to the more broad question of illegal immigration in general.
Simply, the real problem isn't there being *some* illegal immigrants. The problem is that there are something like eleven million of them. That disrupts things on many levels, and impacts everyone. Recall that these are people who (for example) are health hazards because in case of extreme illness they are powerfully motivated not to seek help. All are potential victims of blackmail. Having so many undocumented workers disrupts the market. And so on.
However, simply going after them all is unworkable. Suppose it takes ten thousand dollars on average to find and deport one illegal immigrant. To find and deport one million such (less than ten percent) would cast TEN BILLION DOLLARS.
The government, IMO, should focus on catching those illegals who pose the greatest risk (not of course ignoring others--this is about priorities, not opportunities). Offering an amnesty under specific circumstances undoes much of the risk of others. After all, if some illegals have proven to be good citizens otherwise it is easiest and best to simply keep them.
But--and this is the crucial bit--what really needs being done is to fix the problem at its source. No, not the border. MEXICO! We should enact some version of a "Marshall Plan" for Mexico, helping that nation achieve as much stability and prosperity as we can practically manage. That alone will really cut down on massive illegal immigration--and be overwhelming in our best interests for many reasons. And before anyone starts complaining, look up precisely what the Marshall Plan was and how it worked.
Fix the immediate danger. Go after the real cause of the problem. Then find the easiest way to live with everything else.

Demographics.
America is suffering from an 'aging population.' That is, the fertility rate is running below the replacement rate of 2.1 children per couple, and people are living longer.
As a result, there is a lack of young workers. This is inconvenient for employers, since more experienced workers tend to be more expensive, and some jobs simply don't require that much skill or experience. It is potentially disasterous for some huge government programs, however, specifically, Social Security, which is a sort of legal ponzi scheme in which people give the government a fair sized chunk of thier paycheck, that the government gives to retirees. The more retirees you have relateve to workers, the bigger the chunk you need to take out of thier paycheck.
So, America needs to import population to remain viable. But, the existing immigration laws are focused on bringing in highly skilled labor, not young, inexperienced labor.
For that reason (among others, like restrictive labor laws, unionization, and so forth), many imployers are willing to break the law and hire illegals to get the labor they need at the price they can make the best profit from.
If you were to make these illegals into citizens, you could restore a measure of demographic balance to the US, keeping programs like social security solvent for a while longer. You'd have to pull some stunt with labor laws, though, to make it work, otherwise, you'll have just created a lot of too-expensive-too-employ Americans.

I think that that people that are do not have bad records should have the opportunity to become residents. And if you pay attention I'm inferring to those with good records. If someone wants come and work I have no problem with them coming and living here. And if you are going to use the excuse that they came in to this country illegally it's because you must not know the process that is involved with applying to a residency. Just so you know it at least take ten years or more. If you come up with any other reason it's just that you are a racist. YOU are a racist because you say that all the problems in America are because of illegal immigrants and you never once mention every one who is here legally and commits the same crimes. Are you saying that just because you are legally here you don't commit crimes... There are drunk drivers who have killed families and they are black, white,Hispanic, legal, and illegal. They pay taxes just in case you did not know they can go to the IRS and they are given a number so that they can do their taxes. Lastly, what ever criticism comes from a person like you has no effect on me.

Lets see... how bout the Pilgrims ?They didn't go thru customs or have their visas. Then they started killing the Native people. Columbus didnt have any visas and he made slaves out of the Natives.Don't forget we took Mexican territory by force and now we sit back on our racist beliefs and ignorance of our own criminal political history. Who gave us the right to destroy ANY OTHER CULTURE! We have put our bloody ,grubby hands around the throats of innocent people around the globe and then we want sympathy when the world comes to our doorstep for help. Short of ''Ethnic Cleansing" and genocide, all we can do is face up to the FACT that we we screwed up , and find some way to help the people we hurt in the past. Our generosity and understanding will go along way to solving the problem!

So that more of them can contribute to taxes for our schools and social services.
Some may or may not make a lot of money. I do know of a guy that was once "illegal" and now owns a big construction company and pays A LOT in taxes. I think he got amnesty in the 80's.
"They are not registered, how can they pay taxes" you ask...well granting them amnesty WOULD make them registered and ABLE to pay taxes!
I think YOU should also grab your dictionary or at least press the spell check yourself! Garantee? It is guarantee and you have a lot of nerve pointing out other people's grammatical errors when you, yourself cannot even spell yourself!
