Would it be based on the worship of Lady Liberty and represent a neo-pagan identity?

If you meant this as a serious question then you are way off the mark. Pagans in the US are a very small majority. If the US had a State Church it would more than likely be a form of a Protestant nature.

I for one am very glad for the fact that there is a separation of church (religion) and state in the US. I hope that it will never change. I do not want to live in a theocracy or even a pseudo theocracy. I'm a polytheist, and very devoted to my way of life. I would not want it outlawed.

If America had a State Church......it would be a sad day, indeed.

Heck, even my Catholic parents and grandparents don't often agree politically....what about people who don't doctrinally agree with them?

The Founding Fathers are my heroes....they gave me the right to believe what I want and to disagree with our elected leaders...they made us - all of us - sovereign within the law. That is power, indeed, my friends.

On the other hand, we DO...it's pretty much Atheist with a Deist background, and allows for the practice of ANY religion, or no religion, and has worship of a paper constitution. *grin*

however...as an aside...did you know that STATES can create a State religion, and that all could be, say, Buddhist, so long as the FEDERAL government does not declare a national religion? Even if all states choose the same religion, the Federal gov't is barred from declaring one. Go Founding Fathers! *grin*

The state would be governed by the power of the type of church elected into office at that time. The founding fathers didn't want a church or denomination state but a state that follow God of the Bible.

It had one, actually several. Most of the states had state churches. Virginia's state church was the Church of England.

There was a lot of bloodshed because of this policy. This is why, when the Constitution was ratified, it contained no mention of God. The Founding Fathers saw, first hand, the damage that having a state church can have. They purposely opted to leave religion out of government. They later emphasized that in the 1st Amendment.

the reason being is that the founders observed what no separation might do. we'd have a central authority with a state-sanctioned faith, the place no different faith could get money. Wed have regulations the place particular religions may be unlawful and different non secular products banned. on the different hand, we'd have a theocracy the place faith takes over the rights of human beings.

More likely it would more closely resemble the three-person-self church run in China by China.
It would be a more nearly perfect method for the gov. to control the people than the ways they use now.

America would never spit on the constitution by trashing the secularism that has worked so well so far and go and do something so sinister and so destructive as turning into a church run theocracy... would it?

Actually, the first amendment has taken away the rights of Christians. If I don't like the music on the radio, I change the station. I don't smash the radio.
I'm a Christian and my freedom of speech has been diminished. Why aren't all the first amendment banner waivers protecting my rights?
Maybe its because they want me to shut up. But I won't.
God loves you.
