Jesus was an Elijah wannabe?

He was always trying to be Elijah. He copied the loaves and fishes trick, raising the dead child, healing the official's servant and curing the lepers and the blind.

Plagiarism is what it is.

Elijah should sue.

There is no connection that i can see. Elijah did not die before going to heaven, but Jesus did. The only possible connection is that they both went to Heaven.

None whatsoever. Elijah was taken to Heaven before he died. Jesus had to die to become the sacrificial atonement for our sins. The difference was that Jesus came back to life before being taken back to Heaven.

They were both taken up into the sky-- BUT Jesus died first and then defeated death, which is the entire point of His salvation for us- that we have defeated death through Him.
Elijah did not die, and he was taken up in a chariot of fire, where as Jesus just went straight up- So I guess the connection would be that they both went "up" into the sky.

I don't get what you mean the connection between the two things. In the old testament...Enoch also did not die but was taken by God.
[Genesis 5:24] And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
