yes, swimming is probably the best exercise for Fibromyalgia. If you have access to a Jacuzzi spa that would help reduce some of the pain. I have Fibromyalgia and know how miserable you feel.

On areas that hurt apply a heating pad or a hot water bottle for twenty minutes, several times a day.

I have written an article on Fibromyalgia that is too large to post here. It contains information on what to do to help yourself. I'm adding a link to the article.

Also I have just been reading about a new product that doctors have started using that is helping people tremendously with pain, it's called "move free advanced " I've enclosed a link where you can read about this as well.

If you have any other questions just let me know,
Billie

The water is relaxing so it probably does help if you've got the energy to get there! I have fm too and would love to go swimming but just never seem to have enough energy to go.
Give it a go

Hi!..I have had "FM" for 10yrs maybe more,I have found swimming to benefit as long as you don't "over-do-it" and also make sure the pool is warm, check the temperature before you go in...keeping your weight "normal" and walking is good advice. All the Best, coco

Yes, it is said by many doctors that swimming helps. my mother and best friend suffer from the disease so I can tell you first hand that it is a great relief. Try it, I'm sure it will help.
