My doctor said my daughter's spots were all down to hormones. Make sure you use a cleanser with exfoliating beads to get rid of any debris. You can get a topical antibiotic from your docs which you just apply to your face after washing (it's clear), and it's called Zineryt. It's worked wonders on my 13 year old daughter. Perhaps try something like Evening Primrose Oil capsules to balance your hormones, and take at least 1500mg to 2000mg a day.

Try dabbing at the spots with neat TCP.
It smells strongly though so I'd advise you do it at bedtime , not just before going out anywhere !
You need to do this every day for about a week and you should see a great improvement.

You could try changing your diet, eat less fatty foods and junk foods like burgers, chips, sweets, crisps, chocolate and high sugar drinks too, wash two or three times a day and change your pillowcases more often too as if your lying on an oily surface it will affect your skin.
Good Luck.

i've had acne for 5 years, so i know how you feel. if you mean you've tried all the shop-bought creams etc then i know they don't work - i found them completely useless. go to your gp - they will help or they will refer you to a dermatologist. i've had a whole load of different treatments - gels and pills - all have helped in reducing the appearence and number of spots. drinking water is meant to help - but i hate water so that wasn't an option for me! and many say that cutting out stuff like choccie helps. go to your gp soon as spots can scar badly. they will definitely have something to help.

when i was younger i always had spots, its down to hormones but some things really do help, like drinking loads of water and eating fruit. i got some really good natural products from lush which helped me so give that a try, it was just a facewash to be used twice a day and it cleared it up completely!

Hi my son is 15 also and "had" the same problem we bought him Proactive and if you use it it does work it's a little pricey but it does work their web site is www.proactive.com its a 3 step process on of them is a face mask that he hated but used it anyway and he looks like a different person now give it two weeks and you'll be amazed.
Good Luck!!

Don't eat any fatty food, drink lots of water, not fizzy drinks, cut out the chocolate and sugar, eat fresh fruit and veg.. and exercise.
The spots won't go instantly because you're 'at that age' but they should diminish and not return as virulently as they seem to have been doing of late..

talk to your doctor may not be a skin but a underlying condition presenting itself as achne. Doctors have the power to give out proper medication that actually works trust me I had it to it was caused by a mega hormone imbalance and my doctor ( most are) very sympathetic and after 1 month of treatment I was zit free.
