Here is the simplest answer from the wisest man in the bible (besides Jesus) which was King Solomon.
[Ecclesiastes 12:13] Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
God has desires and a will for us not so much as expectations. He knows that we will mess up because he know that we are unperfect humans and that is why he gave his son Jesus that we can be forgiven for our sins when we do mess up. But he does want us to do our best to avoid sin as best we can and to allow him to work in and through our lives on this earth.

God took two steps. Fist, He became flesh, born as a man called Jesus. After living a perfect and sinless life and dying on the cross to redeem sinful man, He rose from the dead and in resurrection changed His form from the flesh to the Spirit. Hence, the Lord Jesus became the Spirit. This spirit is called the life giving spirit. A crucial verse in the bible tell us that the last Adam (Christ ) became a life-giving Spirit(1Cor 15:45) god the Father is unapproachable. Although He came in the Son to dwell as man among men, God the Son was still not able to enter into man because he was in the form of a man with flesh and blood. By the Son’s death and resurrection, his form was changed from a physical one into a spiritual one. As the Spirit, that is, as the spiritual air that we can breathe in, Christ was able to enter into His disciples. Thus the entire Triune God- the Father, The son, and the spirit reaches man. In other word, when the Triune God reaches his Redeemed people, He is the Spirit

God expect from us very simple thing Follow his rules, which he has revealed through Prophets or Messengers time by time, understanding him with the senses he provided us and be grateful to him. Look at our own nature, all the parents will be happy when they see their child excells in his studies, works and he obeys them and they will be proud of their child. When we follow God'smessages and getting good means he will be proud of his creations and will tell the Angels "look at those human, they are so good they obey me and follow my rules, they are my creations and I will reward them accordingly."

Nothing.
God has no expectations, because God does not exist. Fictional characters tend to not have any real expectations.
Religion is organized superstition.
