Each day, I try to burn up to 350 calories by excersise. (I usually do this by walking for about an hour) but I'm getting sick of it and I'm wanting to switch it up a bit. What fun things could I do at home- to burn about 100-200 calories :). Thanks.

Skip rope. 15 minutes=170 calories.
Inline skating. 15 minutes=150 calories.
Bike riding. 15 minutes= 180 calories.
Weed the garden. 30 minutes=160 calories.
Rake the yard. 30 minutes=210 calories
Elliptical trainer. 12 minutes=235 calories.
Vigorous calisthentics (jumping jacks, sit-ups, push-ups) 10 minutes=120 calories
Swing dancing. 15 minutes=110 calories
House cleaning (general) burns about 5 calories per minute; this would be heavier cleaning like vacuuming, mopping, hauling out the trash, cleaning a closet, etc. Not fun but you kill two birds with one stone. 20 minutes=100 calories
Actually sex only burns about 100 calories per hour...so quick sex would probably only burn 25-30 calories, and you DID say QUICK???

I read an article about Beyonce doing the hoola hoop thing for an hour or so a day. I think I heard that you can burn more calories doing it for (not certain on the time) 5 minutes than running an 8 minute mile. There is an instructional DVD I just dont know the name of it.

the best way to burn a 100 calories is you can go on a running machine for 10 mins and you burn 100 calories just like that its very good exsure for you

Dance Dance Revolution.
On the PS2. I can burn 100 calories in 10 minutes on heavy mode.

This may sound funny but try eating a couple of hot peppers it raises your metabolism and makes you sweat. Turn on some great music and dance. I'm sure 100 calories would burn up real quick.

You should get a spinning bycicle!! you can burn a HUGE amount of calories every half an hour!!
If not you can run up and down your stairs..if you have them. Or play one of thos dance dance revolution videogames. You can also buy a pilates or aerobics video and do it at home!!!

An hour of walking burns only 200 calories, according to every article on the subject I have ever read. I know this because walking is the only exercise I can do because of illness, and it is not enough to lose weight! BooHoo..

Excercise videos are really helpfull and some are just for burning calories. you can do them at home and not have the same routine.

Goto a local high school and find the stadium. Run the stairs. Do (10) sets of up and downs. Enjoy.
