I mean, you are to eat the "flesh and blood" of your father.
You are to bathe your children in the blood of the lamb.
You are to burn animals alive as the smell pleases our Lord.

Any explanations as to why God is such a macabre deviant?

They're a death cult, plain and simple. Check it: praying for the world to end, worshipping a celibate Hanged God, Eternal Torture to all who don't join them, and they beleive all religions are fake except for theirs. Heck, they're even very open about global conquest being one of their goals. The God of the Bible, Yahweh, started out as the Hebrew war god, but became their only god when Moses led them out of Egypt. He knew they had to 'streamline' their culture to survive in the desert. They had been slaves, so they were used to having Egyptians feed them, shelter them, and provide law and order. They didn't know squat about surviving in a desert and Moses knew they would all die if they made burnt offerings to many, various gods and goddesses.

I think you totally misunderstand. Christianity if the farthest thing from being morbid- we deserved to die because of our sin- God chose to send His son into the world to die so that we may live. Communion is remembering the sacrifice that Christ gave for us- it began at the Last Supper- Christ did it as an example- we are not technically eating his flesh and blood. The blood of the lamb, cleanse us- His blood on the cross- that is joy - when you think we deserve death- Christ even said, he endured the cross, which is joy. WE do not burn or sacrifice animals anymore, the price was paid ONCE and FOR ALL- through the perfect lamb of God- Jesus. Our lives now are to be a living sacrifice- Instead of been morbid- God made a way for us to have a loving and close relationship with Him-

I think that by the phrasing of the question, you don't understand basic Christian theology, the Sacraments, the meaning of the word "morbid".

God exists.
God created (among other things) humanity.
God gave humanity a moral law.
Shockingly, man rebelled against that law.
God has attributes. Some of these attributes (not an exhaustive list) are Holiness, Justice, Love, and Mercy.
If God is Holy and Just, and has created a moral law which humanity has violated, then there is a price for that violation, otherwise the moral law is a joke, and God has violated his own character, something which Christianity would say God does not do.

Therefore, God could let humans stand indivdually and face the lawful and correct consequence of spitting on him and rebelling against him, or as he is Merciful and Loving, he can provide some other solution.

That solution is through his Son, Jesus, who was Christ, who came to earth in flesh, lived a perfect life, and willingly paid his price on our behalf, so that those who would trust in his actions, and trust that he is who he said he was (as evidenced by the resurrection), would have the price of their rebellion and willfull misconduct (sin) paid for by him, but also receive credit for his perfect life (a 2 way transfer), so that we can be reconciled with God.

This is not a morbid message in the least. Those who trust in Christ, NEVER need ultimately worry about anything, always have a context in which pain and suffering can be seen, and know that they will have an eternity without sadness, tears, pain...

Christianity and Atheism are the only 2 world-views that I know of that have absolute certainty as to their statements of ultimate destiny. Heaven/Hell by choice, or maggot food, respectively.

How can you call Chrstianity morbid when you compare it to atheism and all of the existentiallst and nihilistic philosophies that come out of atheism? That is morbid (not that optimism or morbidity are tests of truth, but they are logical outworkings of each position...)

Your point of view is normal and understandable. Many of us human kind tend to do things we do not like, for instance murder, and because we do not like what we do we attribute it to God. We kill somebody and say why does God allow me to kill. We fill our history with wars and conflict and ask oh God why did you allow this? We paint the earth with blood and say oh God why are you such a macabre deviant? The law of karma and reincarnation is a universal, immutable, and indispensable justice system. The removable of this law in Christian teaching really made things worst. Now many are blaming God for allowing this law to be removed from the teaching. The removal did not change the effectivity of the law--we have to face the consequences of our own foolishness. Blood must be paid with blood. God saw it, so He said: alright son, you go and pay their debt. That is the problem with God.-- He loves us very much. Jesus said: "forgive them for they do not know what they are doing." Then we said, oh God your some kind of idiot, why did you allow your son to die. The morbid story goes on and on until now. Correction please, it is not God's story. It is our story. We wrote it, but because we do not like the story, we ask, hey God what kind of story is this?

burn animals.... nope, pretty sure that was maybe, the israelites? not those who follow Christ

only we ourselves can decide to choose the Blood of Christ as our salvation, we cannot bathe our children nor anyone else in it for it is NOT a physical thing... it is spiritual

and no, I do not eat the flesh and blood of my father, nor, is there anywhere that says I should....

where are you getting these crazy unreal ideas?

What in the world are you talking about?
Flesh and blood is symbolism.
"Washed" in the blood just means that the blood He shed for us cleanses our souls.
We don't burn animals-Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice-so any sacrifices made now would be blaspheme.
God is so Holy-I don't really need to make explanations for Him, but since you didn't "get it" I thought I would oblige.

Sure.

Gods were invented to explain things science couldn't satisfactorily explain at a particular time. For example, the Greeks had gods for the sun, hurricanes, etc, etc.

As science explained these things, these gods disappeared.

Science hasn't (and probably never will) adequately explain death, so that's what the last remaining God is obsessed with.

Some of your quotes are based on the Bible book of Revelation.
It is a book of symbols.
Not to be taken literally.
At least one of your quotes seems to be based on the Mosaic Law.
It never applied to Christians.
God is a Creator ....even when writing.
He is a creative writer.
We should thank Him for an effort to make interesting, the reading of the Bible.

It's 2000 years old; ritual sacrifice was still very popular in those days.

Give it another hundred or so years, and there will be a new religion that better fits society.

Religions come an go but atheists and agnostics remain unmoved.

Sorry.
You are not describing Christianity.

God established that a blood sacrifice was required to cover sin. Maybe you could actually READ your Bible?
