All dogs are wonderful but I'm partial to longcoat Chihuahua's. My little boy is very social and a big love bug to everyone...to the point that he ignores me when people come over. lol

What's your favorite breed and why? :o)

i love malteses, i got one when i was 9, molly, she let me and my sister do anything with her and is just a great dog (she's 16 now) she learned how to roll over in 15 minutes and we taught her a bunch of other tricks, she knew she was mine and was always so excited to see me when i would get home from school and still is when i visit my parents, (they live a state away) I'm almost 25 now and i really don't know how i'm going to handle it whenever she passes away, she's been apart of our family for almost my entire life

I have owned and have had tons of experience around countless breeds. Although I loved each dog I never fell in love with a breed until I got Labrador Retrievers. They are the most affectionate teddy bears, they are completely devoted to you, their favorite thing is just to be with you, they are highly intelligent you can train them to do anything, they are versatile, there is nothing you can not do with them. I take my Labs kayaking, swimming, hiking, camping, to parties, sledding and snowmobling. They have the sweetest temperment they love everyone and everything. But I know from experience they will not let anyone ever hurt me. They are great with kids, and they are just fun loving happy go lucky dogs.

We have 4 Jack Russell terriers and 1 Chihuahua. These are our 2 favorite breeds, and get along very well. The Chi thinks he is a Jack Russell. Like Jacks because they are smart, but they do need exercise since they are terriers.

It depends on what size of dog, and the purpose of the dog.
Dogs are great in all aspects, but you really need to know what do you want to look for in a dog, and the breed for it self can tell you if the dog will fit your expectations.

=)

I have a Boxer and he is absolutely wonderful! He has been the best puppy and super easy to train. They are goofy, friendly dogs that like all people and other dogs. They are known for being protective but gentle at the same time. And they have the cutest eyes and wrinkly forehead.

I don't really have a favorite breed, but I tend to favor one breed out of different ''sizes''.

Small - Schipperke
Medium - Australian Cattle Dog
Medium/Large - Rottweiler
Large - Irish Wolfhound

These breeds, I have either owned, or met, and they were branded into my memory, due to their great disposition.

we have had bassets, labs, and dachs come through our home. my favorite has and still is our dach. he isn't too hyper, yet he plays when we all feel the need, he is house broken and loves to walk with a leash, which says something b/c some of the other haven't, he asks is he can get on the couch or in your lap or even if he can go out side. he is a part of our family, we treat him like one of our children. when we decide to get another animal to keep forever i am pulling toward another dach.

I love Aussies. My Australian Shepherd is so smart (smarter than me) and has a beautiful coat. They are velcro dogs, happiest when they're with their humans. I also am very fond of Collies but Aussies are the best.

Poodles -- They are non-shedding (don't make me itch), come in a variety of colors (any color/or pattern) , and sizes.
You can clip them in any shape you want -shaved down completely, or in pet clips, or up to fancy clips.
They are incredibly smart. The smartest dog is a toy poodle in the Guinness book of world records.

Bulldogs.. I love them.. they are wrinkled and cute.. GREAT with kids.. extremely loveable... and they are tough enough looking for a man to walk.

I once had a boyfriend who was a pretty tall, broad guy and he looked rediculous walking a Bichon.

I have had wonderful experiences with Bullies.
