Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Is this person supposed to be the good guy or the bad guy?

Sounds like a bad guy to me, but I'm sure that the Christians will say it is supposed to be Jesus.
I don't know where they get that, because I thought Jesus taught love and acceptance, not fury, wrath of god, or ruling with an iron hand. Go figure.

Good guy (God/Jesus). He will destroy all evil and if you are a christian saved through the grace of God, you have nothing to fear or worry about. If you are not saved, then you may think he's the bad guy coming after you. You may try to beg and plead for him to save you, but it will be too late.

The figure is of war, so this Warrior is the good guy and this is the description of His power.

Those to whom John was writing were in the midst of a war. This is a reminder of the ultimate end of that war.

Good prevails.

If you've lived faithfully, you'd see Him as a good guy. If your life has been one of disobedience to Him, He's still a good guy even though you'd see Him as a bad guy.
Either way, He is my salvation.
God loves you.
