Do you have any cousins or aunts that you get along good with? I had a hard time picking my bridesmaids too. I'm just shy and don't have that many friends.
I picked an odl friend from high school, a friend that goes to my church, my sister. and my soon to be sister in law.
So, I would ask any cousins and definitely the fiancee's sisters.

There is nothing wrong w/ not having many female friends, you just associate w/ men better (my daughter was the same way) and as far as a Maid of Honor goes, you don't have to have one per say - ask you sisters in law, then just match them up "height" wise with the groomsmen

I know this isn't traditional and I thought it was a little weird at first, but I was at a wedding a couple years ago and the bride's maid of honor was actually her brother. He wore a tux and stood on her side. In the bulletin it referred to him as the man of honor.
If you don't like that idea, maybe a cousin or close female relative.

for my wedding, i will have my sister as my matron of honor, her best friend which might as well be my sister as a bridesmaid, a high school friend and my soon to be sister in law as my other bridesmaids.
so you can ask your sister-in-laws, or maybe someone from high school, or a co-worker, or cousin.
Or like someone else said, if your best friend is a male, you can have a male of honor and he will stand next to you in a tux, unless he really wants to wear a dress, which I doubt. you don't always have to go with tradition. my nephew and mom will be giving me away instead of my father. so make your own tradition, make your day special for you. you don't have to please anyone that day except for you!!
Congratulations!!!

I'm about the same way. When I get married, I plan to have a few of my female family members as bridesmaids as I'm pretty short on friends, period. Do you have any ladies in your family who could be bridesmaids perhaps?

That was my problem too. But I asked my cousins, a old childhood friend and my husbands nieces. Traditionally, europeans just pick family members.

Have a Man of Honor or two. You don't have to have women on your side.
You don't even have to have an even number of people on each side.
