I am a college student and for the past year now I experience this pain after sitting in class all day, writing paper, reading, and studying. I went to the doctor once but they didn' tell me anything, just gave me some muscle relaxers and NSAIDS. this works ok but I went back and got a shot. I don't have a clue what is causing it, can anyone help me figure it out of give me some advice?

The burning pain is usually indicative of a pinched or inflamed nerve. Remember to change your position often, get up, move around, and if necessary, invest in an adjustable desk chair that can and will support your entire back. Feel better soon!

You could be doing several things:
-straining your back muscles hunching over your desk all day
-feeling muscular pain as a side-effect of stress
-not eating enough bananas/getting enough potassium

Look up information on ergonomics and posture at your desk. There are plenty of exercises you can do periodically to reduce this type of pain if it's a posture issue.

If it's stress, just try to chill. And go ahead and eat a few bananas. It couldn't hurt.

This is a common problem, you won't like the answer.
You need to do some kind of strength exersize like push ups, pull ups, or bench press. I know it sucks, but you don't have to do a crap load just enough to work it out. I have ran into several people that had this problem, after thinking I was the only one. The muscle relaxers somewhat work, but you really need the opposite.
