Do all things in love. Preach the unadulterated truth. Love everyone. Live as Christ-like as possible and do your best to instill the same in others. Remember that all people are His creation.

1. The church must be fundamentally founded in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
2. With the fallacy of a certain rapidly-spreading mainline church that is "seeker-friendly", it makes me wonder if you are looking to do that same thing, if so see #3. If not, see #4.
3. NEVER Preach on sin, preach on gifts of the Spirit(to be abused, of course!), the financial blessings God can give your family, and when parishoners approach you about a problem they have, point out sin in their life and tell them it's God's judgement upon them and that they either need to shape up or ship out, because they're scaring people.
4. Abolish preconceived notions of "The Way" in your very first contact! Preach Law/Gospel all the way and let people know that yes, they are all under the curse of law and no one can pass that test but then inform them of God's grace and mercy. Also, preach to the LOST. Don't try to go to people who don't feel they need a Savior. Do what Christ did. Go to the lepers, the sick, the dying. (drug addicts, criminals) Plant the seeds, allow God to reap the harvest. You can do it.

The only thing I can offer is to be cautious. There was a man in California who started his own church to avoid paying taxes and gained many followers. He later decided he didn't want to do it anymore but the followers wouldn't leave him alone and when he went to the government for help, they told him that he started it and those people had the right to follow him (literally and figuratively).
