I agree, the fear thing is something people use to make themselves feel big. It's just like the small-minded people who respond to everything with "you're just jealous".

Because they have no good argument. That's why they always revert to saying things like, "you just fear change" or " you are nothing but a racist". My question is FEAR WHAT? And how can they make it about race when it is about ILLEGAL immigration? Seems like a very childish way to get out of a debate if you ask me. Playing the race card is what guys like Al Sharpton do very well and it seems the defenders of ILLEGAL immigration have jumped on that band wagon from hell too. And why is it that everytime a person mentions ILLEGAL immigration they always turn it into a Mexican thing? ILLEGAL immigration is about ILLEGAL immigration, not a particular group of people! Our laws and policies on immigration were put into place for a reason folks. Seems breaking the law on a massive scale is the new trend these days and people are cool with that.

I guess the old saying is right, "Laws are made to be broken". That is unfortunate.

Just as many americans deplete social services and the economy...FYI.."ILLEGALS" can NOT get government help. Argue me all you want if you dont believe me do some research! FYI.."ILLEGALS" also contribute to the economy...again do research..

Ok so xx amount of money was sent abroad amongst 12 million illegals. Ok thats alot...but what about the money kept here and spent? These people dont eat? Buy new clothes, movies, etc?

FYI..the only things that give me anxiety attacks are country music, rap, and food that looks like barf!!

Fear of illegal immigrants? I fear alright, I fear that all that freaking money uncle sam rips out of my paychecks each week for social security won't be there when I get old enough to draw it back! Thanks for handing out my money to people that haven't paid in a damn cent. Two faults here, the government who hands over the check and the illegal that thinks their entitled to a free ride. I'm not racist by any means but in any situation that's just wrong to expect a free ride. You want to be an american, get legal and then work just like the majority of us do to just put food on the damn table.

I agree with your premise... the Pro-Illegal cabal DOES love to label law-and-order Americans as fearful or racists to BE feared because we recognize the immigration as ILLEGAL !!

I have lived in California all my 43 years and HATE how we are having to pay billions to support the medical costs, insurance costs, schooling, and criminal activity of illegals. Sure they pay some taxes, but...

I don't hate MEXICANS... I employ 4 guys here on work-visas and they are terrific workers !!

Bravo Goldenrae9... Sadly the USA has a terrible past history of racism regarding immigrants:

Germans - 1860's, WWI and WWII
Irish - 1850-60's
Eastern Europeans - 1850-90's
Chinese - the Gold Rush and Railroad
Japanese - WWII
Vietnamese - 1970's

Another good read on this subject is "Homeland" by John Jakes... following a German immigrant in 1880's Chicago.

"it's just that chimichangas, sombreros and ranchero music gives us all an anxiety attack"- That's not racist? That's like saying that african american people only eat fried chicken and watermelon. It's biased and wrong and very much a racist comment you made.

Pro Illegals will always try to come up with something new to try to justify the illegality of illegal immigration. I was watching the debate that Lou Dobbs hosted last week on CNN. It was funny because the one lady who was a Pro, kept referring to the constitution when stating her opinion of why the mayor of Hazelton was wrong for passing the no illegal immigrant ordinance. I was surprised that Lou Dobbs didn't bring up the fact that the Constitution is a list of rights of AMERICAN Citizens. I just don't get why these people constantly demand rights that they are not entitled to, as well as Amnesty.

ha ha. Some people do FEAR them. Just like those same people would not go to the "dark side" of the city, for fear. Racists are not known for acceptance. And when faced with a large group of the people they hate, I can imagine they would be afraid of the consequences of their own personality.

They say fear to make us look as if we are afraid of them. Its a total misuse of the word. I don't fear anyone, I don't like what I see going on in my country. I don't like to see our federal immigration laws ignored by foreigners, that feel they have the "right" to do so. It isn't fear its the truth I see each time I see a neighborhood decimated by the influx of illegal aliens that live far too many in one dwelling, trash that place and the surrounding area, causing the home prices to plummet. The over crowning of our schools, hospitals, jails and prisons.Leading to higher taxes that burden the legal tax payer. That's not fear that is reality . The few illegal aliens that do pay income tax are far our numbered by the millions that don't. Most, not all,of the illegal aliens here in Arizona work for cash and don't pay any income taxes.

Charges of racism are tactics used by the
illegal alien supporters to try to silence the truth.
It no longer works.

A simple study of the history of immigration will tell you why. The book, The Five Points by Tyler Anbinder is a great, readable history of New Wave immigration in NY.
