Possible.
Infectious diseases, like hepatitis B, C, HIV(AIDS) and many others may occur. Chances of having hepatitis B is much more than chances of having HIV. If the said patient is having AIDS, you SHOULD use PEP(post exposure prophylaxis). The chances of transmission will be drastically minimized.Also DON"T suck/press/apply chemical on the prick site, as they will cause further trauma, facilitating infection. Just wash it under a tap.

Infected with what? Blood bourne diseases like hepatitis B+C, or AIDS? Its definately possible
