"Since the Jesus Tomb AND the James Ossuary are fakes or misrepresentations?"
1) The Jesus Tomb was an attempt to DISCREDIT traditional orthodoxy, rather to show Jesus' historicity. And since my faith never was dependent on the James Ossuary being real, it wouldn't bother me if it were fake.
2) By the same logic(al fallacy), I could say since Piltdown man and Java Man were fakes or misrepresentations, what will evolutionists grab onto next?

Yes, Herod's "massacre of the innocents" recorded in Matthew, in which he ordered the murder of all male infants in Bethlehem in an effort to slay the prophecied Messiach, is not only omitted by all the other gospels, but is otherwise utterly absent from the historical record. One would assume that such an event would provoke comment. Even Jospehus is silent on the matter. It is quite evidently an invention of Matthew, part of his campaign to make Jesus' life story resume the history of the Hebrews (Herod's "massacre" symbolizing the massacre of the Hebrew firstborn by Pharaoh in his attempt to slay the child who would become the "Deliverer"). So it's just one more proof that the Bible is not a reliable historical document, but is often to be taken metaphorically and symbolically, as should be obvious anyway to anybody who is not quite a complete imbecile.

have you ever noticed that anything against christian's foundation is always found to be fake? It's kinda like the book of mary magdoline. she had her own book but because the catholics control all of the bibles it would destroy their whole phylosophy that women should not be the head of any church, so they deemed her book heiresy and kept it out of the bible.
This one will probably, true or not, be turned into a myth like everything else. Not saying that this one time it wasn't faked it just bothers me that no matter what anybody finds they will never accept a change in their thinking. I think it's dangerous to have that much contorl over people. that's how they get people to kill themselves in the name of the lord.

Actually, you're wrong about one thing: There were TWO Herods, and one of them DID live and WAS ruling at the time that it is thought Jesus was born.
As for the rest, it remains to be seen. I think the "discovery" is interesting, but I'm not going to formulate my opinion until I have more information.

Heinrich Schleimann used the Iliad to find Troy, but no one is claiming that since Troy was there, Athene must have been at work. Many ancient stories have some degree of fact to them.

Jesus of Nazareth was a real person, too. (I'll leave the question about his divinity out of this.) Its quite possible he has an actual ossuary out there somewhere (why not?) but I believe too many people want it for all the wrong reasons.

Yes, they will most certainly claim the tomb to be historical proof that Jesus existed, which again will prove the general stupidity of humanity, and not just Christendom.

Scientist has always been trying to PROVE and DISPROVE bible. BIBLE are MADE in a way to confuse us all, and in a way so no one can not disprove nor prove. It strongly focuses on FAITH base, which is basically a matter of opinion of each individual that no one else can change it.....

You should RE-READ history, not RE-WRITE it.
As for the fakes, sure, people want so bad to find something,(or make something) people get fooled. But as for us believers, if we have any brain in our head at all, we do NOT put our faith in any created thing someone may find.

I just think it's amusing that half the time the sceptics say Jesus never existed, and the rest of the time they're digging up his bones.
Can't have it both ways.
Personally, I don't think Mohammed ever existed.
