‘Christ according to the faith, is the second person in the Trinity, the Father being the first and the holy Ghost the third. Each of these three persons is God. Christ is his own father and his own son. The Holy Ghost is neither father nor son, but both. The son was begotten by the father, but existed before he was begotten--just the same before as after. Christ is just as old as his father, and the father is just as young as his son. The Holy Ghost proceeded form the Father and Son, but was an equal to the Father and Son before he proceeded, that is to say before he existed, but he is of the same age as the other two. Nothing ever was, nothing ever can be more perfectly idiotic and absurd than the dogma of the Trinity.’
- Col. Robert G. Ingersoll
One god sends another down to earth. The god on earth prays to the god in heaven. The god in heaven is pleased with the god on earth. The god on earth says that the god in heaven is greater than he (the god on earth). The god on earth says he will later send a third god down to earth. The god in heaven forsakes the god on earth. The god on earth dies and goes to the god in heaven and sits by his side. That is polytheism for sure, one hundred percent. You can call it whatever you want, but it’s polytheism pure & simple.

Christians believe in the Trinity, that is, The Father, The Son And The Holy Ghost(Spirit). This Trinity doctrine is one that gives many people confusion. The real way to refer to the Trinity is; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Father is the Creator God, the Son is Jesus , God's son, born of a virgin to save us all from our sins, if we believe He is the Son of God, and God the Holy Spitit is the Comforter God, that is the Holy Spirit that will sustain us from the time of Jesus' going back to heaven after His ressurrection until He comes back at the rapture to take His followers to heaven for eternity with Him..
In that verse in John 14:28, Jesus is consoling the diciples because He is returning to heaven, and they are dismayed, and Jesus is saying how much He reverences His Father, God. In that other verse, you neglected to quote the rest of the verse, which says : " ...and no one is able snatch them(followers) out of My Father's hand(.vs.30)" I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE." You see, one must never take parts of Scripture out of its context to prove some point they are trying to make.

John 14:
12
Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.
13
And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14
If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.
lol, i think you should read the entire chapter instead of just taking a verse... misconception always arise when you only reveal half truths and not the whole truth,... Seek and you shall find.

Acid, you don't have an understanding of the Bible and never will if you keep plucking verses out of context. Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit represent the Trinity. Jesus refers to Himself as the great I AM. Nobody will ever agree that the Bible doesn't support the deity of Christ. Go back to NOT believing in the Bible, that works better for you. By trying to make it say what you want it to say, you are just making yourself look ridiculous. Stop embarrassing smarther people of your faith.

Hebrews 1
The Son Superior to Angels
1In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. 3The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
5For to which of the angels did God ever say,
"You are my Son;
today I have become your Father[a]"[b]? Or again,
"I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son"[c]?
6And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
"Let all God's angels worship him."[d]
7In speaking of the angels he says,
"He makes his angels winds,
his servants flames of fire."[e]
8But about the Son he says,
"Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever,
and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.
9You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy."[f]
10He also says,
"In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
12You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end."[g] 13To which of the angels did God ever say,
"Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet"[h]? 14Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Jesus said in John 8:58 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" He was claiming to be the great I AM (GOD).
When Jesus was saying that "my father is greater than I" he was referring to himself in human form.
