1. Put the eggs in a pot
2. Cover the eggs with water by 1"
3. Bring the water to a boil
4. Turn off the heat - set timer for 15 minutes
5. Bring pot to sink - run cold water into the pot until the eggs have cooled - then move to the fridge
The only way that I have used with success to make eggs easy to peel is to jostle the eggs while cooking. If you jostle hard enough, you'll make little cracks that will allow a tiny amount of water to get-in under the shell. This makes them easy to peel.
Other people say that fresh eggs are harder to peel because the membrane is tighter - sticks more deliberately between the white and the shell. They suggest using older eggs whose membrane is weaker. That might work, but give the jostle a try - it should do the trick no matter the freshness of your eggs.
Besides, who wants to seek-out older eggs to eat when common sense says you should be eating the freshest eggs available.
Good luck!

Perfect solution for you...
Cook egg for 10-15 mins. Right when it's starting to boil, turn off heat, set to the side and cover pot. Let the egg sit and cool down. Once warm to the touch(usually another 10-15 mins), then you can peel it with no problem.. Perfect egg - everytime
Peel before placing them in the fridge - or it will be harder to peel.
Why this works??
Once the egg cooks for 15 mins, the inside develops a skin that sticks to the shell. (If you peel it when it's too hot or too cold - it will not peel correctly). While it's cooling down, the egg is still cooking on the inside. However it you wait until the egg cools down after boiling it will peel easier.
I've heard that you can soak it in vinegar. I've also heard the salt theory it doesn't work.

This is a fine cooking art that is so easy. You don't boil the eggs. You boil the water and then put the eggs into the pan, place a lid on it, and let it sit ten minutes. Pour off the water and then put the eggs under cool water. You may even want to take the shell off under the water. When you have fresh eggs the shell will stick more. If you cook them too long they develop a green ring that is sulphur as I remember. It is not harmfull to eat. It just smells.

Put your eggs in the pot of COLD water. leave uncovered and bring to a boil. Once the water boils, cover the pot and REMOVE it fromthe heat. Let the pot sit undisturbed for 18 minutes. Drain the hot water and rinse with cold water. This almost always results in perfect hard boiled eggs.

same here i love hard boiled eggs. the way i make them is that i start off getting a pot of water and putting it over my stove at about high heat and wait for the water to boil then put your eggs and dont forget to put about a teaspoon of salt in then boil for about 15 to 20 min. but dopnt take them out of the water just yet. Turn off the heat and let them settle in the water for about another 10 min. After 10 min., slowly drain out the water seperating the egg and water.......then add very cold water to the pot along with 2 cup of ice to seperate the egg from the shell.......then............tada.....bonapetit. hope i helped.

My Dad taught me a trick. To see if the eggs are fully cooked, put one of the eggs on a flat surface and spin it as you would a top or coin. If it stands on its end while spinning, it's ready. You can take the cooked egg and put it on your table top and press firmly enough to crack the shell. Then you roll it around, while pressing, to fully break down the shell. The shell should peel off really easy.

you seem to know how to boil an egg, (pan with cold water, add eggs, bring to boil, leave for 7 minutes, run under cold water, peel) the only advice i can give you is to use fresh eggs. the fresher the egg the easier it is to peel
