and you. When you say stupid things like 'my mother was ill, we prayed for her and she got better but the doctors are baffled' It means just that!Doctors do not claim to know all the answers, unlike you do! Scientists do not claim to know all the answers. They have to be rational people to be in their profession as medical science had/has to be updated constantly to find the best methods. 'The doctor cannot explain it so it must be god is absolute NONSENSE' 'How else did we get on the planet if god didn't do it' is another example of your nonsense!Just becasue we cannot explain something doesn't mean god did it. Do you understand that this is just another example of the lengths you go to to 'protect' your deluded religious beliefs?

It is called faith, my friend. What is your explanation then, when things happen that cannot be explained? Just a coincidence?
ha ha!That is brilliant. There is no apparent explanation for many things so that is that-until we can find one. Why can't something be unexplained? What are you scared of? Something that cannot be unexplained is something that cannot be explained. No more, no less. Not gonna make something up to explain it-that's just ignorant.

If Christians don't claim to have all the answers they wouldn't score any converts.

OneFox : You say twice you had incurable illnesses & while you did not even believe in God at that time , you prayed & you got OK.
Hence you believe it was God who saved you. Strange I though prayers only worked when you believed in them etc etc blah blah ......... Anyways maybe you got saved coz you actually had a curable discease but were wrongly diagnosed.
And if God did really save you the first time, why did he strike you down for a second time with another discease ..... so that he could cure you again ? What next will he give you a third incurable discease & again cure you ?
Pls grow up ......... Scientisits & Doctors don't have all the answers & dont even pretend to have all the answers ...... but they have far more answers than are contained in the so-called religous books ....... at least they are on the path of truth & discovery & not on the path of fairy tales & myth.
Everyone is free to practice religon & so they should be. However what irritates is the raving & ranting of how they will go to heaven & they will be blessed for praying to some statue inside a church. Historically religon has only caused wars & death & destruction & hatered.

At some point everyone reaches the end of their rope and their world crumbles around their feet, at some point everyone wants to know why things happened this way, at some point everyone feels like they have lost control of their life, at some point everyone wants to just quit because things are just to hard, to out of control.
The difference between you and I, is when I hit that point I have the rock of all ages to lean on, I have some place to go to for advice when those around me see no answers, I have a safety net at all times, so I don’t ever fear falling. I am the lucky one, no….I am the BLESSED one, because through thick and thin, through anything and everything I never have had to doubt where I would end up or if I would make it.
Some things you believe in with you mind, others you know exist even if they are untouchable because your heart knows without a doubt.

You sound upset. Are you a materialist? I think it was G.K Chesterton who wrote that everything proves God to the Christian while nothing could prove the existence of God to the atheist. (That’s a poor paraphrase; he’s a far more elegant writer than I). Leo Strauss wrote that the Western thought can be reduced to two symbolic cities: Jerusalem and Athens. If one hails from Jerusalem intellectually, one begins with God. If one hails from Athens, one begins with reason. They are not always antithetical, but they diverge in ways that seem to irritate you. People will give thanks to God for a healing even if it comes through a doctor or medicine. That’s only nonsense if one denies God. If one believes in God, it is nonsense to deny him even in processes that science can explain.

There are many scientists who are religious, one way or another. Your definitions are way too over-simplified. For one thing, religion is a great deal more than "God did it." Also, there's a great deal more to science than experiments and research, however defined. A great many of them study the research of others and analyze it, looking for ways the implications can be applied to other questions. Or to put it another way, there's the research of the library and the development of ideas that must come before experiments and designing instruments to examine things.

Any good doctor understands that the ability to heal lies within the person in need of healing. Whether one believes that ability was put there by God or developed through a process of evolution is irrelevant. Knowing that and knowing how to use the healing principle is far more constructive than arguing how it got there.

It is called faith, my friend. What is your explanation then, when things happen that cannot be explained? Just a coincidence? I do no think so= I am not delusional , I believe in the power of prayer. It is your choice to believe otherwise, but do not tell those of us to believe otherwise either.

Amen. I agree. You will get so many people telling you today, because of this statement, that they will pray for you and your wicked ways. But don't listen to them. They are crazy clones. Just sheep. They have been so brain washed they know not what they do. Just let them be sad little people, blaming everyone else but themselves for bad things that happen. they are sick and in need of Medical attention. Or a pill to make the demons go away. Ignore them.

I've gotten better twice from incurable illnesses through prayer and the first time i didn't even believe in God yet!. You can deny it all you want but there are a hundred and fifty people including medical specialists who witnessed. it. I'm not a religous person but I am a christian. I don't protect any deluded beliefs and you, my friend are just an example of yet another angry, unhappy intolerant person. I hope you find your way! :)
