Humble Ignorance, because the more I learn, I realize how little I know

I used to love the "Humble Ignorance" routine that insisted it was "Sure Knowledge". This finally backed me into a very painful/uncomfortable corner. So I threw it all away by going on "Humble Ignorance"alone, searching for "Sure Knowledge". I suppose I am still searching. I am happy today, now with not knowing everything. I have accepted that things are always changing, yet still the same.

Right now I'm not attracted to any belief system. I've spent the last several years in "blind acceptance." There is MUCH I don't agree with and I'm now questioning everything but I'm not ready to walk away and jump into anything else. Time will see if I stay or go, but I am determined to never follow blindly again.

SURE KNOWLEDGE is not easy to acheive in a world so complex and diverse. But once you do aquire it, death and life are nothing to fear.

HUMBLE IGNORANCE can be taught and bought and preached as a simple form of comfort to the senses. And ignorance is bliss.

I raise my hands 'cause I'm SURE.

Humble ignorance, as long as it includes methods for moving towards less ignorance.

In other words, the scientific/naturalistic belief system.

Excellent question.

In fact, certainty is almost invariably the product of ignorance.

Humble ignorance is like stagnant pond water. Sure knowledge is an ocean.

I'll sail.

I am attracted more to one that says find out for yourself...and oh yeah, here are some pointes on how to find out.

Of course, to be able to give pointers - you have to know yourself (sure knowledge, I guess you would put it).

Sure knowledge... because if people all remained ignorant, we'd still be living in caves.
