Im living in a foriegn country, and there is a girl that works at a place not far from me that i'm interested in, but she speaks very little english. We've been out together before, in a group of people, but we didnt say a whole lot, for these reasons. I am learning her language, but its a long process, and i still have a long way to go before i can even start making basic sentences. In the meantime though, does anyone have any suggestions on where i procede from here, without being able to speak much?

Body language might be the trick. Good hand gestures and smiling at her. I mean when I looked after patients in hospital that are non English, I do the above, and it works for me. Keep on smiling and you will get some good results.

learn compliments off of the internet and tell her things like "you're very beautiful today" and try to learn as many phrases as you can in her language. She'll see the effort :)

get her to help you learn --- my lady has english as a second language and i make her laugh with my attempts to learn hers --- she may also wish to learn some english --- have fun

take her as your language techer.
