I was always sceptical about spiritualist mediums until I visited one after my dad's death. Without me giving her any information at all and her not knowing me, as soon as I sat down and she touched my hands, she told me things nobody could have known except me and my dad. She immediately answered 2 questions I had in my head and wanted answered. If they are not genuine, and I know that some aren't, how do they do it? This one certainly convinced me and I believe I am intelligent and thought of many possibilities but there is no logical way she could have known what she did.

There are spirtualist mediums who are genuine and I have had personal proof of this on many occasions but there are also those who are not genuine and look on it as a way to make money which I find disgusting as the are taking advantage of the grieving and vulnerable. If anyone wishes to speak with a medium they should do so through their local spiritualist church rather than an advert in a newspaper or premium rate phone line.

I certainly don't believe everyone who claims they're mediums are, they'd have to tell me some compelling stuff for me to believe. Personally, although that reading sounded good, it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to guess something right. If he saw the man was overweight, appeared to have had a rough life, and didn't look healthy, then saying "chest pains" would be a safe bet to say. However, yes, I do believe that there are actual mediums out there. I have spoken to a couple and have been told things that not even my husband or kids knew. When one told me my father would always say, "your bodies will never be found", my heart dropped. It's something that you just don't come up with. He described the room exactly where my mom died, even described what went on after she was found. I wasn't there, however, I'd called and when they were taking her the phone, she was found dead, but, when I told my siblings what he'd told me, they were floored, as it was exactly how things happened. I contacted another spirit messenger when I was being haunted (no, tormented) by my father, at the end of my rope and desperate for help. When she was communicating, she'd described the bangs, all the lights blowing, exploding, etc, the clocks, the pops, etc, when I hadn't even said a thing about being haunted, I'd just called and told her my name, and she just started talking, again, I was floored! I have not a shred of doubt that some are genuine, but I don't believe everyone who claims it is.

Mediums have to study and develop their gifts,my mother was very good she could look at a person and tell their character.
My mother also believed in the bad seed
this is what some people are born with and they might come from really good homes with wonderful parents. But there is a badness that is in them. Ian Brady and the rest, including a lot of the Nazi's who enjoyed inflicting pain and suffering.

Some mediums are genuine mediums. Since they are called mediums, they naturally must be the go-between between you and something else.

This something else is the problem. Usually, these mediums function according to their own statements as mediums between the living and the dead.

This is a lie. They are in fact mediums between the living, us humans, and other living beings, not the dead. No, these are the demons, and for this reason God forbade the Israelites under penalty of death to communicate with such.

Though the demons have intimate and sometimes superior knowledge about our affairs, this does not make them less dangerous.

Please flee from such contact and worship God and have faith in the sacrifice of his son, Jesus Christ.

yes, they can be very accurate. I've had spiritualist tell me my dog's name, my brother in laws name, predicts improbable events that happened. These were all from 'cold' readings where I was a total stranger to the reader. I prefer to deal with mediums through church affiliation, although there are plenty of really good general psychics out there.

There is a logical explaination, it involves auras, energy centers and spirit guides. There is actually a 'science' behind this, with documented evidence to support it. Of course, it isn't a 'mainstream' science yet. Spirtualism is just part of an aspect of nature that science has not yet acknowleged or accepted.

The one I visit is genuine as are many others I have come across. There are a few charlatans out there, so its best to have a personal recommendation before you visit a medium.
I like your story and have experienced similar myself.

Psychics and mediums that are real have the ability to tap into a Divine source in the Universe and hear the messages. I am glad you found some comfort about your Dad. A good way to judge as to who is real in the 'seer' department is how much they charge. If they are reasonable or free they are probably real. If they say--"Give me $1,000 and I will tell you all."--they are fake.
