I have a stuffed animal killer too. She's a 100# Bloodhound named Rose in my logo. We buy stuffed animals at garage sales for 25c and let her have them. Unfortunately there's nothing indestructible. I have another dog that destroys Kongs.......

I'm amazed that sniffydog's pup can kill the kong toys... that's almost impossible... esp if you get the harder ones...
ah well... the exception that proves the rule...

Fabric toys won't hold up, but you can get them cheap like sniffydog does. You can go to any number of places, from yard sales to salvation army stores, etc. etc. and throw them away when they die.

I'd get the dog bones to chew. My grocery store has nice large bones that cost about $9.95 and the dogs did great with them.

Leather appeals to the chewers. I got some boots at Walmart that hurt my feet, so I gave one to my chewing female who is now 105# as an adult. My husband was worried that this would encourage her to chew all our shoes, but she apparently realized this was HER chew shoe and she finally left our other shoes alone. It as a leather boot with a low upper and it lasted much longer than any fabric toy would. I just removed the laces so she wouldn't swallow them. It took about 3 years before I had to throw away the one boot and give her the other boot from the pair.

Do a google search for durable chew toys for dogs... maybe you'll find something else you like that way. I got a lot of responses to this search.

Shelly's suggestion about giving the dog the legs off your old jeans is also excellent. That's one I had not tried before. Having cut the legs off, the dog won't be too likely to confuse your current complete jeans with a pants leg piece t hat belongs to the dog.

My dog can get through the big black kong in a few hours, so I know how you feel. There are toys that are made from fire hoses. We have had that for a few weeks now, and it has some holes and wear, but it is still in one piece....so far.

Our dog chews everything and the only thing that takes him a while to destroy is jean pant legs.... any old jeans you have or ones from garage sales.... cut off one leg and stuff it with other legs from other pairs and tie or sew it shut... the denim is durable enough to handle some chewing and it works great for tug of war. Good luck!

well it's not fabric but for a big dog you cant go past a big piece of sturdy rope with a couple of knots tied in. It's good for chewing, fetching and tug-o-war, it's cheap and it will last for a long, long time.

For great fabric toys. I guess you mean plush toys.

Go to www.planetdog.com

They have a chew rate on all their toys and some strong plush toys.

kong toys are pretty durable, though they're not fabric. my dog is 85 lbs, and she has had hers for 2 years and she hasn't wrecked it yet.

Tuffie toys are probably the most durable toys available.

Rubber bones, and toys! Tennis balls, soft balls. Give him a hugh bone to chew on. He is looking to chew on something because he is probably teething.
