Yes you should stand up for what you believe to be correct. You do a good enough job on this forum and I know for a fact that you are opposed by some.

How strongly do you believe in it? If it is that important to you your friends should understand even if they don't agree. Your delivery of the stand you take also goes a long way as to how others will receive it.

Edit~Wasn't sure where you were going with this earlier, I had an idea but didn't know for sure. I think you did a fine job, and I agree.

yes, you should stand up for youself and your beliefs, otherwise why believe in them. If you do not stand up for your beliefs, how can you expect others to respect you. Who wants to respect anyone who does not have enough respect for themselves to stand up for what they believe is right ? I would stay away from things that you are not well-acquainted with or informed because that is when you may strike a hornet's nest and your ignorance is more likely to appear.

If that is the case, I would stick to my beliefs while being low key about it. Why cause a confrontation unless it is absolutely necessary. BUT, you will find out who your true friends are this way, by being different from them...

they believe in something so they oppose what you believe in and stand for what they believe in. you believe in something and stand for it opposing what they believe in. for certain issues you really should stay out of needless arguments. for other is you think them worth believing in and standing up to, then do so. it really is you choice, but make sure you're making the right choice.

Don't argue. The Bible doesn't want us to argue about our religion, it lowers it. If asked you are free to express your opinion. We all do. Stand up for your beliefs so you don't feel ashamed of them. There is nothing wrong in stating what you believe.

Absolutely. If you are being opposed, you are forcing others to think.
