If you know the weight of your pup you can go by that. Just look on the package and it will tell you the right one to use. I know Frontline can safely be used on young pups but I'm not sure about the K9 Advantix.
You can just call your vet and ask them which one you can safely use on your pup OK.

hi, there are frontlne for puppy too. I start using frontline for my 2 month old puppy. Buy those which use for puppy. But for using frontline, I was recommended by the vet that it should be 2 day after she taking a bath and after apply, she can't bath for 2 days.

You can put on Frontline earlier than 12 weeks. My vet prescribed me one at 10 weeks. Just keep getting one little vile every month until the dog has reached maturity, then you can start getting the 6 packs and such!
Have fun! Good luck!

My puppy was started on Frontline at 6 1/2 weeks old. The dosage matter as far as the weight not when to start the puppy.
Ticks are very bad this year so the sooner the better.

Directions are on the box and should tell age and pounds. If you don't have the box you can call your vet back or go on a website as if you were going to buy the product and it will list for what weight and age dog.

if the vet gave you the drug to put on your puppy then it would seem that now is the time.
however i would call the doctor . i would not go by what you find on here.
